  1. Can you please read your private messages from me? Or at least explain why I have been locked from posting in all but the lounge???
  2. Sigh.....even here you make the same mistake. 'i put a post on the wanted section to buy a lock for my bike and a guy called peckhamguy replys to me and then you post that im a neo nazi' No...I wrote that PECKHAMGUY was a neo-nazi sympathiser. The only reason why something I wrote about PeckhamGuy sent you into a rage, is because you are also him. In fact, the only reason you appeared on this thread, is because you wanted to see if there was any response to your last trolling post as PG, but you forgot to switch account. I mentioned your SofD username for a reason. It was a trap, and you fell into it. Anyway, people can make of it what they will.
  3. That's an idea. Depends on whether the IP is static or dynamic. I think mobile phones are more tricky to pin down because they use Dynamic IPs. I'm not an expert though.
  4. What are you talking about? You know nothing about me! Above you display the same distinctive grammar errors as PeckhamGuy and you made a fatal error in one of your private messages to me didn't you? You are messaging me as SofD but said I had called you a neo-nazi sympathiser on the forum - but it was PeckhamGuy I responded to with that. The truth is that you flew into such a rage that you forgot to switch accounts before sending threatening private messages to me. And I can post those private messages, they can't be deleted like posts. And this why you can not carry out your other threat of legal action either ;) I don't drink alcohol so I'll pass on the beer, but thanks anyway.
  5. No Sean, you have even proved in private messaging to me that you and PeckhamGuy are the same person. Then you PM threats to me. I want you to take legal action. Go for it. You'll lose. You have the same grammar errors, including the distinctive full stop error.
  6. This is a PM I just received, after calling out a multiple poster on the forum. Just be warned folks. Sean of Dulwich is PechkhamGuy (frank). Have a look at their posting history and you will see exactly the same grammer mistakes. DICK HEAD From: Sean Of Dulwich To: Blah Blah Date: 08/04/2018 07:29 YOU NEED TO WATCH WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT PEOPLE YOUR MOUTH WILL GET YOU IN TROUBLE WITH YOUR BULLSHIT WEIRDO @#$%& OFF
  7. And he's not the only troll. Sean of Dulwich and lavender seem to engage in similar pointless posts.
  8. LOL rendel. He is still advertising hmself as an electrician on EDF. Have taken it upon myself to warn locals of his neo nazi sympathies. Lets see how much he laughs at everyone now.
  9. And right on cue, here is the stupid attention seeking troll again. Do not feed.................
  10. These guys, and their family are known for distraction burglaries, where someone conns their way into an OAPs home and distracts them, while the other sneaks in and robs the place. But the thing that helped Mr Brooks is that the burglar did not die in his home. He left, fataly injured and died a street away, from the injury. So the defence of self defence holds up as opposed to an unreasonable display of force. It is one thing to charge a person, but a jury has to be pursuaded of the charge and it is hard to see how any charge against Mr Brooks would have held up.
  11. Yep. They followed procedure. Referred it tot he CPS within 24 hours and the CPS decided no charges could be sucessfully prosecuted in court. Standard procedure.
  12. Just been announced that the pensioner will face no charges.
  13. Burglars always have strings of burglaries behind them and it seems these two characters come from a family of career burglars targetting elderly people. The dead burglar was already wanted. Maybe his family should think about the misery heaped on the countless victims at their hands? https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/694191/henry-vincent-burglar-murder-case-london-richard-osborn-brooks-pensioner

Much of the earlier posts in this conversation were pointing that out and questioning the validity of a Libdem fishing exercise.
  15. PeckhamGuy, I think your use of the word antifa just gave you away nicely. So are you a fascist sypmathiser then? A yes/no answer is all that is required. Who else would mock someone for opposing fascism after all. Troll on now.
  16. I agree with the sensible posts above. It is normal procedure to arrest and question anyone responsible for the death of another, irregardless of the circumstances. Police then have a limit of 24 hours in custody before having to make a charge or bail. This pensioner will almost certainly be bailed in due course. The Police will refer his case to the CPS who will then decide if there are any charges to be answered. The CPS as part of that will weigh up the chances of said charges holding up in court. I personally find it hard to belive that a pensioner attacked in his own home during a burglary will ever be convicted of anything, but if there were evidence that the burglar was killed in anything other than self defence, then there is a duty for Police to investigate that.
  17. In the context of democracy, you have a very valid argument Louisa, that I think most people would agree with. But as Joe says. the practical reality of dismantling wealth based privilege is another challenge. Essentially the problem is one of plutocaracy over meritocracy. I'm not sure any society in the modern world has found an answer to that.
  18. Hi DaveR I am not arguing for or against it. I was just pointing out that the notion that removing a Monarchy leads to greater equality is a myth. If we accept that money gives privilege then only doing something about that afforded privilege will address the inequality perceived to be represented by a Monarchy. Of course it is not the only way that inequality can be tackled. I'm neither Republican nor Monarchist. It just strikes me as odd that anyone would think that the Monarchy is somehow the glue that holds privilege together. I think we went past that place some time ago. I actualy completely agree with you in fact. I often argue, within political debate, that mixed economies (like Scandinavia) have the best social outcomes and that it is finding the right balance between state and free market that is the key. I would call myself a socilaist democrat because of that.
  19. But Louisa. That is not what happens in America is it? It is myth that Monarchy is the dynamic force here. It is not. Money is the dynamic force and the power that comes with it. We could easily end hereditary peerages. It would not stop the House of Lords being stuffed with privileged and wealthy people though would it? There is just no evidence that Republics are more equal than Monarchies, none whatsoever (you can go all the way back to Rome on that). Only by taking away the choices that financial privilege affords, over things like education, housing, and opportunity, can you address inequality. It is actually an argument against free market capitalism versus socialism that is the root behind class - not some single Royal Family that have no real power to do anything anyway.
  20. But then how do you explain power inequality and wealth inepquality in Republican democracies Louisa? If the Monarchy were abolished, it would make no difference to issues around wealth, class and privilege. Just look at America for an example!
  21. Ditto. So happy Iris is now back in human care and hopefully the leg injury is not too bad. What a relief for the owners and the dog.
  22. But to be fair Amy, take a look at who brought class into it. Was it those rightly calling out support for a right wing website and its contents? This whole debate is not about house prices and gentrification. It is about the inability of someone to answer to their support for the contents of that website, and worse still, deflecting from having to answer for it by arguing that class has anything to do with the valid criticism of his position.
  23. I think the only effrctive way is the gel they carry back to the nest. You have to kill them all and the most effective way is to take out the ability to reproduce. You can kill every ant that ventures out of the nest, but what good is that if the queen is not dealt with too?
  24. I use the free swim and gym access at Peckham Pulse and when it came to renewal, I was just sent a renewal for continued free use. There were no fees whatsoever - not even ?3 for the card. So it sounds to me as though Dulwich Leisure Centre have made an error with those emails. All residents of Southwark can use the gym and swim all day Friday, and after 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Anything that encourages people to exercise, saves the NHS far more down the line in not having to treat cardiovascular and weight related diseases. Exercise can also help with mental wellbeing too. One of the best ideas the counsil had imo.
