  1. the audacity. I had a person in my front garden trying to take my garden table. Even when I went out and asked what they were doing in my garden there was no indication that they were doing anything wrong. in fact they just continued and seemed annoyed I was asking questions. Always shred documents and keep an eye on your credit files - this is where you will first find fraudulent loans etc in your name.
  2. So people don't like the traffic on their roads now it's diverted. CH may be a wider road but it is also a residential area but had turned into a main road I fully welcome the view of stopping traffic through more roads, as Peter atated.
  3. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=report+non+emergency+crime+to+police sorry to hear about your car.
  4. You contact the school and ask them
  5. There is a fantastic move to encourage cyclists in London - see all the cycle routes. This is to the detriment of cars (taking up their precious lanes) - of which there are far too many anyway, so this is a good thing. More bikes = less cars. I think there should be a system for rewarding car drivers who change to cycling commute instead. So, no - no tax on bikes.
  6. You can't discount the ones who didn't vote and use them in your stats against those who did. Those who didn't vote also didn't vote to remain, so like for like, you could say even less people voted Remain than the actual results. Gets a bit cloudy, doesn't it.
  7. Any vote on the details of a leave agreement are still open to negotiation with EU, unless EU is involved at the outset and there is pre-agreement that one of the vote-able options would be enforced. It's therefore in no way a solution - it's just adding options. If it was a majority Remain, well that in itself is a problem, as there are then two contradictory democratic votes - which is farcical.
  8. try this link https://www.google.com/search?q=house+clearance+company+in+SE+London
  9. what exactly does this mean? "offering a solution to a crisis" If there was another vote... Is there a concrete and explicit outcome they want? If there is a vote, what are the options? Remain/ Leave? Well that's not a solution If Remain won, how would that work given we have already held a democratic vote and this would be against the spirit of democracy (best of three, perhaps?) If Leave won, what would happen then that is different form what is happening now? It's all quite a big "IF"
  10. there's a fab place near Herne Hill on Dulwich Road, which might be interested? although they may only pick selected items they could sell on. British Heart Foundation - or Oxfam will collect furniture but you wouldn't get anything for it as they would take it as a donation.
  11. and soon we'll have the expanded Ultra Low Emission Zone, which aims to further reduce pollution. seriously, there are so many cars... do you really believe every journey is critical?
  12. I actually mentioned two - it's not balanced to only pick one to criticise. The SA actually do a lot of good work - they're well known for feeding the homeless and they don't discriminate in doing so. They also employ people from other faiths, so where exactly are you going with running them down?
  13. overwhelmingly and sadly, yes.
  14. No. far from it. There are many other religions in this category - it should not only be Christianity that is pulled to pieces. I am saying that under the name of religion, there are people who do great deeds of good. Just as there are people who use religion to permit their nasty views. So, be balanced. Bit much to expect maybe? I know this forum when there's something to jump on.
  15. The Bible is opening to misinterpretation, as are other religious texts. They can be used to validate behaviours / ideas that are far from intended. There are some amzing Christian charities which operate the world over, Christian Aid supports communities regardless of their own religion. We also have the Salvation Army. So before you condemn it, look at the bigger picture. Nearly all religions can be blamed for war - some followers make good of their beliefs and this should never be diminished - WHETHER YOU AGREE OR NOT. DO you - individually - do more to help other people?

    Brexit View

One would strongly hope we get May moved out and get decent negotiators in

There is flexibility / elasticity of treaties/ rules and this has been applied on a number of occasions so it is not unreasonable to say that they are being rigid. Presumably you are happy with TM / EU agreement?

Dominating talks and negotiating are not the same thing. They are not negotiating.

The EU officials are really showing their true colours.
  20. why does a 1 yo need a birthday cake? check out mummytries blog (google it, not sure we're allowed to post links)- she's completely sugar free and has loads of recipes! The lady who writes it has three young kinds and they are all sugar free!
  21. I sweep the stairs with a brush, which makes things a bit easier. Choice of vacuum cleaner helps. The dyson I bought makes it all very easy. the more often you do it, the easier it is.
  22. It's a fact people (of all ages) sleep better when they sleep with somebody. Let her sleep with you - why do you discount this as an option for her?
  23. hello Hazel, Does Freddie know you are giving away your code? If I was a start up business, while I would encourage / reward new customers, I don't know how I would survive if I had to give that reward to everyone, whether they were a customer or not. Imagine if 10,000 people used the code you have just given. That would cost the company ?249,999.
  24. I gave the chap in the nail bar ?1 (yes, I was embarrassed that was all the change I had) as he had done such a good job taking my daughter's fake nails off - he was over the moon - which made me worry :-(
