  1. The car has been in the street on and off for at least the year I've lived here. I've seen it loads of times.
  2. We're very conscious of wasting water. While we don't do enough we do use dishwater or bathwater for the plants and to fill buckets for the loo; turn water on off when cleaning teeth and showering rather than leaving it running and quick washes in washing macine. Any other tips would be gladly received.
  3. I get the 148 from town, it's quite nice upstairs with breeze through windows. I assumed it was the same style Bus as the 12 as it has the rear stairs. Maybe they could just replace windows with ones that open
  4. .
  5. it's a car - driven around frequently (it does stand out as it's a thing of beauty) and I've often admired it. Rather than worrying ourselves silly in case it's proceeds of crime and the owner is banged up, I am (if anything) more concerned if everything is ok with them. #Curtain-twitchy-over-nosey-how-dare-they-have-a-nice-car-it-must-illegal#
  6. I went to Sainsbury DKH. Nice and cool
  7. I'll give you a clue RH...it's not Robin Hood and his band of merry men.
  8. I taught my kids to cuddle up and read stories when they woke up. I now struggle to get them up! Our lovely lazy mornings in bed were really special. Whoever lets their kids out to play at 6am just doesn't want to entertain them themselves, so it's lazy and selfish.
  9. oh, I have. My children have been accused of stealing - which they didn't - they were scared out of their wits - evil woman.
  10. Are you showing the game on Weds? If so, we'll see you then!
  11. We went to a hotel bar to cool down, cocktails were an added bonus
  12. because having a plastic bottle of water is second nature and people don't think about it - they probably thought people would appreciate a drink in this heat, especially getting out of a train.
  13. The mayor is raising council tax to fund more police
  14. well, it's common knowledge and people do like to appease their guilt by giving money to anyone who asks for some. I offered my lunch to a homeless chap in Victoria, he said he'd only take it if it didn't have any greens or salad. We had a really good chat, he made me laugh.
  15. Of course, the most beautiful house can be ruined by neighbours.....so lots of things to consider. Yes, Natty - it is very hot!
  16. If you'be got kids presumably your priority is school. So, either SE24 near Charter, or near the new Charter.
  17. It's so easy to escalate and it's lucky that no one was seriously hurt. The school should take appropriate action and well done to the one who called the police. I would have done so too.
  18. not likely, no. They might get a warning /first offence. Although it would depend on any previous trouble and the extent of the actual situation.
  19. Forensic police came round today. I'd said I'd waited on 101 for so long, I ended up reporting it online and not expecting any reply (as has been noted on EDF a number of times). FACT - they DO respond to reports and do want to gather evidence. It sounds like a lack of awareness of what to expect and what to do.
  20. yes thanks - she's fine - hadn't noticed a thing. All very odd. Must have been an octopus to get through such a small window
  21. that is a lovely idea!
  22. This morning, while my daughter was upstairs. The only thing missing was money. We have one damaged window. Does anyone have cctv in this area?
