  2. Thanks Sally Eva - we left at 7 - took about 20mins to get to ND. Probably have to leave more time for a later bus journey - we were rather early this morning! Still confused about the trains - once an hour? Is the timetable online correct?
  3. We need to get to North Dulwich tomorrow morning by 8am. Best way? Walk? What are the roads like that time of morning from Peckham Rye? Train timetable says no trains after 7,17 for an hour. Is that due to strike or misinformation in the timetable. Will get a cab if need be. Walk otherwise.
  4. trees do not cause pollution - what utter drivel. The change in air flow might stop pollution rising into the atmosphere but trees release oxygen
  5. well, just buy what you want from somewhere that will sell you what you want in the quantities you want. Then everyone's happy and you won't need to complain publicly about not getting what you want when you want it from someone who doesn't want to sell you everything they have.
  6. 'selfish' is the word that springs to mind.... the next being 'spoilt'
  7. in positions of such importance, should we really make such big mistakes in order to learn basic lessons? I think some positions should be trained and as such be aware of what to do in such a situation. Something this serious should have been reported immediately. Perhaps it was - or was not - an attempted abduction, but there was a potential very serious risk identified and ignored. I'm sorry to sooth it over, but I think it's a shocking lack of responsibility on nanny's part.
  8. soya milk isn't actually good for you. Particularly in large quantities. You could try making almond milk at home :-)
  9. Lots of fab veg side-dish recipies.... try this... http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2955690/honeyroasted-swede-with-chilli-and-cumin
  10. I'm going to get one too - That's a great idea - thanks for the update :-)
  11. I've thought about it again.... Yes - buy it - if it cheers you up and makes you happy, then that's a good thing. Tie it onto your door with lots of wire and a padlock. Maybe the owner of the shop has some tips on securing it so it doesn't get stolen.

  13. no, I wouldn't at all - and if I had the sort of money that meant it wouldn't notice - I would still feel ashamed as it's a complete waste of money and I would rather give it to someone more needy. We have a toy snowman that we tie to the door knocker.
  14. LOL I think the judges are so insincere and I didn't recognize Nicole #too-much-surgery? And the singing? Oh dear. Then the outfits..... One looked like a Christmas Tree, but blue. We had horror-shivers at Simon's open shirt and hairy chest. We only had it on this Saturday to reaffirm why we don't watch it
  15. no - thoroughly agree with you! It's painful to watch
  16. I'll second the kids ward at Kings.
  17. I'd rather have trees on the pavements and narrower roads or just less traffic. God forbid there is no room for nature in our wonderful city
  18. I was seriously only joking about cutting the tree down.
  19. Oh good Lord. Who put the tree next to where people might want to be? Chop it down immediately and sue someone for inconvenience.
  20. are Pro-Lifers all vegan? Or does every life NOT count?
  21. it sounds like a very poor chat up line
