  1. It would actually be a whole lot better if everyone stopped sniping at each other for their different opinions and accepted we are in the Post-Referendum world and things have changed/ are changing/ will change. There are many reasons for voting either way. If there was a genuine quest to understand the other point of view - fantastic - but it's not that, is it.... it's descended into criticising the other. It's not getting anywhere. It's not helpful, or productive and it's not mature. Political stability would help, but it's not something we have. Blaming each other, calling each other ignorant - how is that going to get anywhere? Talk about inciting division. It's boring. Helen Hayes rather eloquently put it thus "the strong support for Leave in parts of the UK was as much a vote against the political establishment as it was a vote against the EU.... We need to work instead on a vision for the country which addresses the concerns people have been seeking to express by supporting Leave, which unites our communities and which offers hope for the future.
  2. there are lots of photos, Jeremy...but mostly blamed on photoshop. Louisa....did you go back to the spot and stand where the nun had been? If you stand where you had stood, does the place look the same?
  3. at least it's not Foxtons
  4. don't know then.....can try and find out.
  5. how about arguing for tenants rights, rather than tax-free profit? It would be beneficial for tenants to have longer, more secured contracts, legislation for landlords re repairs and rent caps.
  6. Are you talking about the girls' DV place?
  7. OP - I get the uncomfortable feeling that you are probing too much. Do you need your own views to be validated? There are so mnay things wrong with the housing policy in general; 1) Right to buy housing stock at discount (and then sell at market rate) - depleting council owned properties and therefore the housing available for vulnerable people.... 2) Agencies increasing rents for their clients, as they of course make profit this way 3) Foreign investment with tax free profit to name a few obvious ones. Private individuals who invest in property are not a business, so a mortgage is not the same as a business loan. Are you personally offended by having to pay tax on profits? The concept of BTL is that the owner gets their mortgage paid......
  8. mayonnaise = Oil egg and vinegar sauce = vinegar, oil and egg = Vinoe
  9. Whether you agree with Farage's views or not, it's hard to deny he achieved his goal.
  10. oh, I don't know - women can be equally guilty of leering at men.... it's just somehow more acceptable....
  11. why on Earth were you reading Wales on line?
  12. ok - hands up who voted for him.
  13. "totally-faked-common-touch figure".... oh the possibilities are endless! There's a few on the scrap heap as we speak - recently available - fitting that criteria...
  14. There are likely undercurrents of secret plans - across all parties. I'm waiting for the Iraq report to see how Blair slithers out of that!
  15. oh, from UKIP too? Interesting....
  16. well, he was MEP - role no longer required.
  17. James - I'm intrigued... I'll check it out :-)
  18. Jah... don't worry - I was just creating a new acronym from your comment " It's easy when you know how" (IEWYKH)

  22. EDMP (OP) Are you really an MP? Is this a good time to advertise that fact?
  23. IF Gove gets in - we've completely had it.... Worst case scenario. Dismantling of NHS (he wants to privatize it) Destruction of our schools War - no doubt - he though the middle east / Iraq conflict was a peaceful endeavor. IF the British people keep fighting amongst themselves, we will be open to this kind of false promise.... i.e that he can unite/ have our best interests at heart etc... when all the time just planning to destroy everything - he is a truly dangerous man.
  24. If....if....if....
  25. Gove - being the one who has completely crippled the education system? Oh, just brilliant. Talk about shooting yourself on purpose.
