  1. I won't have our car, so you can drive Brendan, and you can drink.....Ribena
  2. 'tis a pity, but I shan't be there either. Got business with my other family.
  3. Would not scrapping the Bendies cost money too? They have only just been brought in and can hardly be nearing the end of their servicable life (Routemasters just went on and on). Boris is hardly likely to scrap a whole fleet of perfectly good public vehicles - is he?
  4. We'd be well and truly Scoobied! Yikes
  5. Flamini going is worrying because he is pretty much coming to his peak. That hasn't often happened. Hope it does not set a precedent with regards Hleb and others.
  6. Sorry to hear about it and thanks for the call. Hope you are not too shaken up by it. Hope your insurance company don't play silly buggers about it.

  8. Would the new Routemaster be to the old Routemaster what the New Mini was to the Old Mini ie, a completely different car.
  9. City High - City High
  10. But, Jah, council flats will be the next big thing - now that the Tories are back in charge. Actually I quite like that block - and it has stunning panoramic views of sarf London.
  11. Thanks for opening up the Thames Path and the improvements around the South Bank. Great for everyone, very kid-friendly and great sense of community - and especially good for us lot in South London.
  12. Now that Boris is Mayor, does it meqan we'll get Ken chairing "Have I Got News For You"?

  15. whoops, sorry. Took our eyes off the ball there for a minute Just give us a moment and it'll get sorted - can we say, four years!
  16. *sneaks a glance back at the stage* *Can't recall exactly when it appeared but it does look very spangly and sparkly* *and though I could hardly bring myself to look, that first act was......intriguing* *in a quasi s & m kinda way* *I'll sup my pint whilst I wait for the next one*
  17. Had to think thrice before posting this because of the lauded company but...sod it, here goes, I wrote this for my little boy and read it at his naming ceremony back in March: To Andreas You made your show on a perfect park day Where we waddle-walked past autumn trees Onto a caf? where a mother asked Your mum, ?are you labouring?? But you held fast in your pulsing nest Through the pacing afternoon Marking the evening you measured your time In an oscillating passage towards the dawn And then you came; into water A placid babe, skin like a golden rash The second son of a second son, eighth boy from one man?s loins Spent a serene first afternoon in sunshine sheets. Andreas Luca, tranquil soul Receives but gives fair treasure to me. A foal?s eye that watches wise, a whispering mouth that uniquely coos And who patient be, in the family To me you are a constellation, rare.
  18. Can I add a beautiful thing I've heard: the sound of glug-glug when you pour the first glass from a bottle of wine.
