  1. A fiddle of sholleys, then?
  2. Or even is there simply a nme for those irritating little trolley things with the pop up handles?
  3. Technically, Sean, it's Gibberish.....that's why I understand you so well.
  4. But that is the question though, isn't it? It's not so much in the sense of ready as in "advanced" enough to have a woman or a black man, but in the sense of "brave" enough. Perhaps they go with the status quo of having a moron run the country rather than have the guts to make that symbolic change.
  5. Could conservative, redneck America really vote in a black guy as president? Just trust he beats the pants off McCain
  6. Congratulations Belle - are you celebrating at the drinks on Friday?
  7. I was going to post something on here but the doorbell rung and it was a workman with the delivery of timber I ordered. I wanted it to be put in the garden and the silly git wanted to bring it through the house! I've just got to go and show him how to take it up the back passage...
  8. Mockney, "....East Dulwich's speling problem...." you are such a wit. Or is that my spelling mistake?
  9. Where is the Shaman?
  10. when the threads on the forum got dirty
  11. I've been going to the Blue Mountain cafe for quite some time and have generally found it to be great. I like the ambience and the staff. Must admit that I generally go for quiet times when I can be assured there will be little trouble getting a table or being served. And I usually go for coffee and cakes rather than cooked food. Having young kids myself I can sympathise with Fuschia and her sense of being disappointed when she took a precious moment for a quick treat. But taking this to the general, I have seen some pretty rude behaviour from patrons in there. Some take that haughty "I am the customer and you must serve me" approach and it rather bugs me. If I was the waiter, or the proprietor I'd be inclined to go slow on the rude punter on table 4. The BMC seems a very successful cafe and can probably afford to lose a few customers. Perhaps its their way of flushing out the more demanding ones.
  12. Perhaps the banks should have done some research into the biscuits they provided when meeting with the Govt. "Key" Biscuits
  13. C'mon Sean, be serious. The idea is that you go to the Plough for the pint and shot - let the serious ones speed off whilst you slowly sup the beer. Then stroll down Barry Road, (or catch the bus if it's raining) and join the mad runners for a easy-going pint at the Clock where you can talk about how your race tactics went tits-up. They'll be knackered and spluttering - you'll be mellow and smelling fresh as a daisy.
  14. All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
  15. It's the day after the Forum drinks. Hair of the greyhound?
  16. I'll be there. Having missed last month it'll be nice to catch up. Looking forward to it.
  17. Re Huguenot, I think the mention of Singapore was a reference to him, David
