this is very common, especially if you have come across any child abuse. My sister in law in Australia suffered attempted abuse as a child and only left her daughters with her mother in law. She really scared me but it is extremely unlikely. A babysitting circle, especially if you say that it is only the Mums that can babysit is good- or someone elses nanny.

I am going to try and stick it out till I retire, and then sell up and buy something for half the price and use the rest as my pension. I think others may have the same plan.:) -
You could ask them in for a drink and mention it then? ALso worth trying to find out if they have carpets down with underlay to dampen the noise. There is a reason that leases of flats specifically say that there should be fitted carpets and underlay.
