  1. Roast leg of lamb where you cut into it with a knofe and put slivers of garlic in it and rosemary, salt and pepper it- put on the tops shelf of the oven - not in a dish- on the bare shelf. then the shelf below you put a raosting dish with thinly sliced potatoes ( 10p thickness)and the juices from the lamb drips on to the potatoes- gas no 4 30 mins per pound, when cooked take the potaoes out of the dish to serve sepperately and makea gravy out of the juices which have dripped into the potato pan witha tablesppon of redcurrant jelly and a small galss of wine, thichkenb with arrowroot0 2 teasppons. OMG delicious. Called agneau qui pleut. The french know a thing or two about cooking.
  2. Katie- are you saying there is a Waitrose in Lewisham?
  3. Real Eatate/ wifey? c'mon Annette- must be American!!
  4. GOOd one Monkey.:)
  5. How lovely. Congratulations. 1.Look at each others parents - you particularly look at his Dad and he particularly look at your Mum. It may be really helpful in the future so you understand where he is coming from and what his model of a marraige is ( I expect you have done this already). 2. Dont take each other for granted. There are loads of others- but when I look at friends who have divorced these are the 2 things I think of. ( apart from Infidelity which is a big one)
  6. That has to be one of the best matches I've seen.Rafa will be kicking himself though...........
  7. Otta Can you tell me a bit more about it - type/ model number?? What do you us it for? Thanks
  8. Has anyone ever used one of these for cleaning surfaces in their house ( not upholstery/carpets)? Someone has suggested they are great, but I've only just heard of them. Any recommendations grateful.
  9. Southwold/Walberswick is lovely. Lots of lovely beach/ sea and nice ice cream shops. Novelty if littel rowed ferry across the river- fresh fish and chips etc.
  10. The Estate has a professional staff but big strategic decisions are made by the Estate Governors. I have no idea how they are selected.Traditionally they have been conservative and inward looking.
  11. NOt that you like to pre- judge anyone then Annette??
  12. I did not know whata stretch mark was and have had 2 children- never used anything- just lucky- but my mum did not have them - so as always in these tyes of situations - ask your mum if you are lucky enough to still have one.
  13. But some children are so much more compliant/easier to handle arent they? My " challenging" son has always been hard work for his parents- but he will do well and be a leader of men. But there is no way he would have a younger sibling- we could not manage it. Hard for his older sibling too.
  14. We went to centre parcs in holland a few times- all enjoyed- especially eindhoven with a snow dome!
  15. YOur thread title is a little misleading then? should it not read "might"? I cant wait!
  16. Well there is a stark difference between the 2. Was is more exclusive and expensive than the other. You just need to go to each at the end of the school day to decide. Also depends on what you intend doing for secondary school. It you are thinking of staying local and reverting to private school, Rosendale will not prepare you for the entrance exams so if you go to rosendale you will have to buy in a tutor - but you wont be the only one doing that. Rosemead shoud be abel to tell you which schools their past students have gone on to - although some children there might need a tutor too. There is no right choice. A lot of people would say go state- save the money and you can always top up with a tutor. some people prefer private- especially if they went private themselves. A nice problem to have!!

    .

ditto. it is to travel with so you can hang it up.
  18. I think you need to factor in the cost benefit of not going to a gym both in terms of time- and money. Keeping fit for ?2-?3 a week is pretty good.
  19. Wow. You would think they might keep them in a special draw then?
  20. charity shop?
  21. I really think it depends on how you are and how your ski instructor is- ie how inspiring they are. I had 1 to 1 10 years ago and it was great- 2.5 hours every morning. He had me doing 10ft drop jumps by the end of the week and skiing blues and greens.
  22. "slightly liberal opinion compared to nununoolio." and "Womanofdulwich. I can see from my last post that I may have come across as a Daily Mail reading, line 'em up against the wall and shoot 'em type."
  23. if you are getting married in the countryside you can use things like cow parsley. Are you thinking of planting stuff yourself to grow?
  24. mayebe those without babies will go there instead? The cafe in Peckham Rye park is great though?
  25. Don't you think the Harley Street place are shootign themwlves in the foot? I guess they can close and reopen under another name but they are reacting so badly to this its frightening. I would have thought they would be offerign somethign at a non profit cost just to restore confidence. Surely they could be offering something to these poor women. Its is frightening the lack of regulation. If the implants were so much cheaper than other ones would you not sniff there was something wrong?
