  1. Yes, we spoke with 2 activists today. I think covid and proximity of them meant contractors just turned round and left. I don't understand exactly, but if they take trees away from the embankment, then surely it will become unstable and slip away.?
  2. Princess nut nuts.🤣🤣🤣
  3. I think we need bike racks at the court lane entrance to Dulwich park. Any ideas who to e mail? I'm not a great fan of bike racks that are not overlooked
  4. There is only one bus fare so you just tap in on buses.
  5. ?6 A week.
  6. The Penguin Lessons by Tom Michell |, true story easy read. Light and interesting
  7. Scotch meats on Rosendale rd.They have a good selection of their own sausages and chipolatas. We like the Cumberland ones best.Their Toulouse ones are good too.
  8. For a treat I thought I'd have a sandwich and drink out at lunchtime today. Tea was in a paper cup, toasted sandwich on a paper plate and plastic knife. I hate tea in paper cups , and for me part of eating out is nice cup etc. I asked why, and the waitress said " its because of covid....." Why I wonder. I wonder if the green agenda has just gone now? You just need to wash cups in hot soapy water, as usual. If you can tell me places that are still serving tea in cups that aren't disposable please let me know. Thanks
  9. I'd asdu6med it was not meat juiced tainted oil. I assumed it was from a chip pan. But thanks for sharing
  10. Well moving forward I'd try to use it that way in the future

  17. As its so hard for us to get a visa to work in Australia, I think it should work both ways. That is reasonable isn't it? I've been refused one , as has a friend from czech republic they have quite a strict points system.
  18. Do we really have to recruit from Australia? Can he get a work visa?
  19. John, you are probably correct, I think some were launched about 15 years ago, but Ive lost touch. Any suggestions anyone?
  20. Maybe it works for some people as a pension. Goodness knows what those of us with private pensions will live off as the amount we have put away for years has dropped or stayed the same in the past 6 months, and I don't see it growing. The amount it will yield is not the 10% predicted 25 years ago. I never thought it was a good idea to be a landlord but we do need a regulated private rented sector to meet a housing need, and maybe its more useful to some in society to have access to private rented housing. But it must be maintained, and this is the hub of the problem in my opinion.
  21. You are an informed buyer, future bidders would have surveys too. Renegotiate a price now before paying a deposit. Often landlords have no understanding of the problems of their properties, which are often neglected when tenanted.
  22. I read on facebook it might be extinction rebellion basecamp
  23. I don't know the cause, but I note that the Chinese guy that usually sneaks in and takes some plant/water insects from that part of the water early each morning Is no longer doing so. Hope he and his fish are ok.
