  1. Dear James, I?m very concerned that when schools go back East Dulwich Grove will again have idling traffic as parents yer again drive their children to the 3 schools that are on EDG and the three other schools within the Village. The traffic was terrible after Calton AVe and the 4 other LTNs on streets connecting to the high density residential road that EDG is, were implemented without consultation or any form of monitoring. With the health centre now working full time as a priority vaccination centre, I believe that pollution levels will be illegal for around 3 hrs in the morning and 3 in the evening, once schools reopen. Will residents receive information on pollution levels and monitoring of cardiovascular and cancer pathology caused by pollution? Could you bring this up at council.
  2. I have never at any time had any representative from Southwark Council ask me or my neighbours on EDG about how the LTNs have impacted on our road. They only speak to those inside LTNs. I can?t wait to vote in the local election. Please can we have independents standing.
  3. I hate the idea of going back to normal. East Dulwich Grove will become a traffic bound mess again. I cannot think of any reason why my richer neighbours think it is fair that residents on EDG have to have extra traffic on their road so that LTN residents can have a nice quiet road. It like taking my pooh and chucking it in your toilet.
  4. The vaccine teams are amazing...the logistics are complicated. There are many people working in full time healthcare roles, who volunteer for free on their days off. I don?t think we will ever be able to thank NHS workers enough.

  6. Buzzard how exciting.. I think my little flock were redwings, thank you for the link
  7. Or were they fieldfares? As man city had a flock....I dunno now 🤷🏻‍♀️
  8. Redwings....about a week ago on the pyracantha 😁
  9. Yes...gated communities and car parks as seen in this very revealing news report
  10. Absolutely agree it?s frustrating... but when you call you will only be speaking to a receptionist who has no control over the vaccine being delivered or the priority list. They will eventually get around to everyone. When they receive the AstraZeneca vaccine then it will be easier for units to organise. The Pfizer is a complete drag as it has to be defrosted and made up... and then only lasts a short while. My advice is give it a few weeks, then call if you think you have been missed. Meanwhile stay safe.
  11. Over 70?s started this week, over 80?s and very high risk are still being vaccinated. You will be called when it?s your turn. They are incredibly busy and many NHS professionals are giving up their free time to help, even if it is just administrating the queue or phoning people. I would advise to not contact and call vaccine centres and GPs on this matter as it makes extra work and interrupts the organisation of this huge complex process.

  13. There has been an improvement in terms of soot related to wood and coal burning, but a rise in particulates and noxious gas associated with vehicles. Data has been poorly collected and consultations across boroughs have ignored guidelines. It is a matter of life or death and I personally as an asthmatic do not find anything amusing or funny about this subject.
  14. The thing is that it isn?t a joking matter, people are being lied to about how LTNs improve air quality across the borough and people die as a result of an increase in particulates and NO2 levels. So tied, and dedicated to these lies that they cannot see or hear the truth.... even when a clean air campaigner such as Rosamund is highlighting the facts.
  15. Could Southwark Council be accused of structural discrimination... I think so.
  16. Can?t sign in to sign the petition, although I can sign into mySouthwark... so if that is happening to me there may be many who want to sign...who can?t.
  17. They are actually lying about failure to deliver. Package not delivered due to ?unaccessible driveway? ... I don?t have a driveway!
  18. The Dutch estate parking at the back is always half empty and the on street parking has reduced since the parking fee, one of the street parking on one side of the road could easily be removed and the pavement widened to be a pedestrian/ cycle ?lane?, this lane could also go down Calton and Townley and the LTN at the top of Calton removed. The half used Dutch Estate parking could easily take some overflow from EDG resedential cars. Encouraging cycling in this area is more helpful than diverting even more traffic on EDG as the LTNs currently do.
  19. The underground rivers of South London - diverted and constrained, along with too much hard landscaping. Dulwich Park was also redesigned as a flood plain to protect Dulwich Village property.
  20. No, I just try and vote for a government that will give them a pay rise, decent working conditions and appropriate PPE.
  21. Cyclists currently use the pavement as well as the middle of the rd when the traffic is at a standstill on EDG during school rush (non lockdown) so it?s needed.
  22. Would love a cycle lane on EDG
  23. Maybe have it as a EDG residents association base and build a nice big nursery on Townley Road?
