  1. Oh dear - poor C and you! This is my worry too with the jab...such a difficult decision. Sure she will be fine but yes when they are ill it is completely knackering. BabySB won't even cuddle, just cries constantly. Hope better tonight/tomorrow. I still have to decide on the jab, but am waiting until he is at least well - this constant cold is getting a bit much now!
  2. wow - that maclaren sure is fancy! But looks heavy? Mothercare says it's 17kg! Too late if you love it but was wondering about the bebe confort streety. Kind of cheaper bee. But don't know whether it folds in parent facing mode...
  3. Heidi what is your perfect buggy??? You have to tell us!!
  4. Umm...I got one...all seems ok! Ebay could get quite addictive I see. Must not let that happen
  5. ok so how can I watch this - is there a C4 plus 24 channel or something? Or more 4? Didn't watch last night as thought would find it all too emotional...but after all the comments now I want to!
  6. I like the bee too but there's no way even I could justify it to mr S.....
  7. very organised and lovely of you ryedalema. I s'pose I should buy something for my husband myself.....But actually I've kind of always felt it was really a day for HIM to buy ME sparkly things....(come on, mr snowboarder).
  8. hehe I hope so!! Just need to get rid of the high chair and I'm there. Anyone read those chicklit shopaholic books? Am feeling similar like I'm actually making money by selling off things I paid full price for and hardly /never used. Therefore can buy more. Madness....
  9. Sorry for such a STUPID question! Despite my love of shopping I've always been scared of ebay. But I like the maclaren butchers stripe buggy that I think was a special edition maybe last year(? anyone got one? Any good? Don't ever see them around really?). And the only place you seem to be able to buy it now is ebay. And there are new ones there and they seem quite cheap - rec price was ?150, going new for about ?100. So I'm suspicious. Anyone an ebay connoisseur and can give me any pointers? Thanks..
  10. hiya - yeah I've managed to eat some more and milk seemed better last night/this morning - I think was just totally empty! I didn't stop feeding though and have been feeding the little monster for 10 months now so I suppose pretty established - not like newborn explody milk! Can't believe lurgy can be passed through your milk...nightmare! Hope you feel better - I just had 1 to look after. Am sure will be ok if only a day or two....
  11. Yeah we're feeling better so we'll be out ramming ankles and taking up too much space too today....see you there.
  12. Ugh it continues...run out of help now!! Really low on milk for bubs - he got so cross last night he bit me for the first time with his shiny new teeth that have suddenly appeared - ow! Will the milk come back? Nightmare!
  13. Bleugh still quite grim but have reinforcements of hubby/mum to help. I'm pretty much never ill so a bit of a shock. bubs seems fine apart from explosive nappies still. Interestingly he ate a huge (for him) breakfast this morning - there can't have been as much milk on offer last night!! Must stop feeding through the night, must stop...
  14. Best thing for us with all food/poo etc seems to be hanging them out to dry in the sun. Not great timing, huh?!? Banana is evil though.
  15. Ugh he is ok I am not!! Had never considered what to do if me ill!! Hope he/any of you doesn't get this is awful..And probably have a full party night of bfeeding ahead..x
  16. Good idea. Also - with tummy upsets - it's ok to give milk yes? Apart from the gross nappies babySB seems fine (me not!) - but I remember sthg about not giving milk - this would be a nightmare! Should I keep offering food as normal? Bleugh. Right - I've done what every self respecting adult does when times are hard - I've summoned my mother...
  17. Ugh - baby SB and I have some horrid bug I think. I thought he had 'teething' nappies the last couple of days but now I feel awful too...how to cope? He doesn't seem to want to curl up on the sofa and too young for cbeebies....I just had to resort to putting him in his cot to recover from a particularly potent nappy....argh!! Entertainment ideas please!!
  18. Re housework/washing etc - the BEST thing I ever heard (poss on this forum?!?) was that you must feel that looking after bubs is equivalent to a full time job, your baby friends are your work colleagues, and the housework will get done by cleaner/at weekends as it did when you were working. I have to keep reminding myself that I did not give up my long studied for career to do housework, I did it to look after my baby. Hubby says work is dead easy in comparison now and at least they get time to selves and to read etc on train. Good luck ClareC - I remember this happening and being totally confused and trying to keep baby on a 3hr schedule - he just screamed and screamed and I had no idea what was wrong!
  19. Am interested too as got sent a letter asking to take the bubs for his injection. My husband said he'd read that there had been more cases of regular flu than swine flu so far this winter....
  20. I didn't make the last night out either and have similar concerns (and potential embarrassment re some of my ridiculous neurotic new mum posts..I'm gearing up for the next one!!)...however need to get out! I've not been to the lodge before - thought it was a restaurant? could prob make 8ish...
  21. Umm - I need a night out. Have we lost enthusiasm for this? 13th would be good for me.....
  22. Good because currently is being sustained by marmite toast and pasta and pesto (is that what you meant by moderation?!?)
  23. baby snowboarder loves (well, sorry, tolerates) marmite - god is that another no-no? And pesto (I know not in a sandwich but generally is it too salty too?)?
  24. Oh no - I think I will bookmark this thread for later....my 9 month old rarely takes his thumb of out of his mouth.....
  25. Get these - http://www.ellashouse.com/liners-boosters-wipes.php Snazzy and no need to worry about grey-ing!
