It's mainly adults, & not teenagers that cycle along the pavement between the corner of Barry Rd, The Clockhouse & Peckham Rye. There should be a 'no cycling on the pavement' sign put up, with a fine warning or something. That might hopefully act as a deterrant. If this corner of the road is so dangerous that cyclists feel they need to bypass via the pavement, they should walk it but cycling full speed round the corner along the pavement expecting pedestrians to jump out of their way into the road or be ploughed into is unacceptable & dangerous.

Yes it's a huge problem, especially on the stretch of pavement around The Clockhouse which I pass every day in both directions & most days, sometimes twice a day adult cyclists will speed round that corner on the pavement of Barry Rd & Peckham Rye & they seem to think it is normal to do so. I have been meaning for a long time to inform James Barber of this to see if there's anything at all that can be done about this.

Thanks for the link, very useful. I rang the main number & they said Forest Hill Rd PO is open today but Rye Lane is shut. Lordship Lane is open again tomorrow. -

Just walked past the main post office in Lordship Lane & it's closed. Anyone know what's going on. No notice on door or anything. Strange. I will have to go to Rye Lane to post my parcel - I hope they are open.

It sound's an awful lot of money for a BP check. I would have expected it to be free within a consultation, like a temperature check. I would definitely go back & find out what exactly you have paid for. They may have even made a mistake with the costs & you will never know.

Strange bottles full of orange liquid
Callie replied to tarafitness's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I saw 1 x large bottle of the misterious orange liquid in Keston Rd last week. It was standing on the road beside a parked car. I didn't really want to resurrect this post but since op has, might as well add it to the list of sightings. -
Anyone else not had their rubbish collected today?
Callie replied to se84's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have had to put in an official complaint to southwark after my green bin wasn't emptied properly for a month! A bag of rubbish was left at the bottom of my bin. I told the council & a few days after, they came round but when I checked the bin, they'd taken some of the contents but still left the same bag of rubbish at the bottom & other bits of rubbish! My bin was stinking by now & I had flies. My next green bin collection day was coming up so I thought I'd leave it till then to see if it gets emptied. After Tuesday collection, rubbish bag is still in bin! The bin men attach the bin to the tipping machine but whatever doesn't fall out just gets left behind, they don't bother loosening it if it is stuck or jammed just like whatever falls out onto the ground & misses the van, they don't bother picking it up to throw into the van & it gets left all over the road & pavement. I have been told my complaint should be dealt with within 15 days but that's a bit rubbish (excuse the pun :0)) when my bin still remains unemptied & stinky. I have messaged them back & now waiting for their response. -

Sounds like a rubbish response & v misleading. What on earth has happened to the police in ED. Do we really on longer have any? It's a bit worrying to say the least.

Lordship Lane Post Office closure threat/strike action

re extended hours - I have generally found the post offices located within shops are opened less hours than a stand alone post offices. They tend to close for lunch & close half day some days a week. -

Hope it's better now but won't be getting it there anymore or anywhere else as on a diet now lol. Not a fan of salted caramel.

New 4G mobile service effecting freeview in East Dulwich
Callie replied to Callie's topic in The Lounge
I wondered if anyone has had an at800 tec guy come round yet? Be interested to know what they did. -
Just wondered if anyone with freeview is having problems with their tv reception? Everyone in the area should have received a card through their door a few weeks ago from at800 about this & getting a free filter to rectify/block the 4g signal? I nearly threw this card out thinking it was spam until I had a closer read & decided to keep it. I had forgotten about it till last night when we put the TV on & picture kept freezing & cutting out, I realized this must be due to the 4g signal.

Not so interested if it's in the bowl though.
