  1. Anyone know if it is too late to plant a lavender hedge? I've looked online but everywhere says plant in spring & nothing about August.
  2. We too tried a different Chinese a couple of nights ago, the one on the corner of Upland & Hindmans. We ordered the same dishes we got from Yeh Wah but were disappointed. The service was good but the food wasn't unfortunately & no way anywhere as good as Yeh Wah's & so the search begins for a good local Chinese takeaway
  3. small bits of shredded chicken deep fried in batter seasoned with chilli, spring onions, ginger etc. that sort of thing

That's shocking to hear as we've used them loads over the past 3 or 4 years and never had anything like that. They were lovely staff too & they always threw in free extra speciality dishes for us being regulars. We'll miss them.
  5. photo on it's side + lorry on it's side - double whammy
  6. On no, hope they haven't gone for good, that's my fav Chinese takeaway. Ghandi was the best Indian too :0(
  7. I would love to know how this scam works, presumably no one just lets anyone who knocks into their home?

  10. clockworkorange, try to establish location of the shouting man, then either report to Southwark council here http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/412/noise_problems/1245/reporting_noise_problems or here http://content.met.police.uk/Team/Southwark/EastDulwich

Cat owners call their cats in, at night & at all different times of day & night :O) I myself do this quite often lol
  14. It's going to causing problems for the driver as well as passanger. Not a good move.
  15. lol, happens all the time. Put stuff on ebay. It will go no probs.
  16. Advocate is No1 for fleas but it does not treat all worms. Drontal tablets treat all worms so should be used together with Advocate every 3-6 months to cover the rest.Told this by vet.
  17. Bluelagoon Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We use Advocate - it also deals with worm and > ticks etc Advocate does NOT prevent or treat ticks (unfortunately) I know because I too use it for my cats. The only effective treatment for ticks as far as I know is Frontline, so if your cats are unfortunate enough to get ticks, as mine have done in the past, you will have to use Frontline too at least for a few months until they are clear.

No we don't but I wanted to alert people living in the area. Nothing wrong with that. You don't have to read it if you are not interested.

Do you think that it is alright for them to be doing this, trespassing on other people's property & going through their bins & taking things, without their permission?
  20. It was first mentioned here on the forums in March, that 2 women were seen going through bins. Who knows how long they have been doing this. They do it in broad daylight - seen mornings, lunchtimes... They go through wheelies on the pavement as well as the ones in peoples gardens. They have tall oblong fabric shopping trolleys with them - one was silver grey coloured from what I remember.
  21. I don't know what nationallity they are only that they are dark skinned with long black straightish hair in ponytails.
  22. @ Jessie, this isn't race or who like who. This is a crime issue.
  23. They were going through those bins in broad daylight in public like it was an ok thing to do *rolleyes*. They could be collecting stuff to sell but still this is against the law & so is id theft. Quite disturbing.
