  1. Is anyone else fed up with being told they can't take card payments unless it over ?5 or a whopping ?10 as in the ED newsagents on Lordship Lane! Popped into Dulwich DIY to get a radiator key, overpriced at nearly ?2 only to be told can't take card payment unless over ?5, old staff seem to have left too:(
  2. I live near Upland Rd & can hear lots of what sounds like motorbike engine noises, heard helicopters too.

    EE down?

is anyone else having problems with their internet this evening? EE seems to be down for me:(
  5. I really miss the mini garden centre on Upland Rd as that's where I used to get mine. I've tried looking on the southwark website a while back & couldn't find any information, I thought they'd stopped doing them :( I don't understand why there is such a shortage?
  6. Anyone know where i can get a jumper hole fixed? It's basically just picking up some stitches that have run.Needs to be someone familiar with knitting that knows what they are doing.
  7. @ Katanita, I was asking if anyone else got the note, that was my main question. We all know what the note means, it's self explanatory & yes I am ignoring it as it doesn't apply to me

Neither strange nor annoying. I don't go near other people's pets let alone feed them. Maybe not strange or annoying to you but it is to me & I'm pretty sure I'm not alone.
  10. Did anyone else get one through their door yesterday? Just a picture of rescue cat asking not to feed as needs special medicine. No contact no or anything,or to say it's lost. A bit strange/annoying, depending what way you take it lol. just to add I'm talking about getting a flier through the door (not the cat!) :)

  12. I would check that with your internet provider. I find they sometimes carry out repairs during the night/early morning but it could be a whole number of different things.
  13. When I asked the manager at the Neighbourhood vets last year if they were moving due to redevelopment of the site he said definitely not however they are moving to Lordship Lane in the next few weeks so there we have it. It's a little bit further for us on foot down busier roads but still very close by so not too bad.
  14. Found a bunch of keys on the corner of The Gardens/Peckham Rye by the GP Surgery at 2.45 today. Left at The GP Surgery.

So exciting, I wonder if there will be freebees?
  16. It's so exciting can't wait. Any pictures?

  18. Does anyone know when the M&S food shop is due to open?

Yes,absolutely agree! You need to contact the manager,as tomskip says,so they aware & do something about it!
  22. I've had pretty much the exact same experience as you in the past with another cab company. Its very frustrating when you book ahead & then everything goes wrong on the day. Can't say I've ever heard of East Dulwich Taxi.I mostly use Keene or Uber, although these sort of things can happen with any cab company depending on what happens on the day - which driver you get, traffic, weather etc. Unfortunately booking up ahead does not guarantee everything will go smoothly, it is important to you but just another regular booking as far as they are concerned.

I would ring them & book a telephone consultation with the GP about the referral. Dr normally rings you back at a certain time. Not sure if FHR have this service but worth asking. Also if you can't get a proper answer from the reception staff - contact the Practice Manager, hopefully they should be able to sort it out for you. If you are not happy about something you should tell the practice manager as that's what they are there for.
  25. what Sue said - mash the paper up in a bath of water - no horrible nasty smelly smoke that way
