This baby Swift was a fighter & luckily lasted throughout the night. Took little Sootie to The Neighbourhood Vets, first thing this morning, where he received instant attention, by this wonderful team. Injected with fluids & being passed on to bird rescue... It seems that he was suffering from severe dehydration thus fell straight into our garden last night. {Bird lovers: don't forget to top up your bird baths! x } Thank you so much to those who responded with helpful advice. Truly appreciated & will take notes for future reference. The Neighbourhood Vets on Lordship Lane are amazing {our cats seem to think so!}

Does anyone know who I can call to help it other than the vets as they are closed till the morning? I've put it in a cardboard box in my shed. Thanks

Just walking up Northcross Rd saw there's a new shop called Polished being done up. Does anyone know what it will be & what shop it has replaced?

I'm missing Londis it was a handy & friendly place, it was also great for hermes collection & drop off. I'm hoping it will be a similar kind of shop like a costcutter or 7/11 that will do the collection & drop off service.

yes you probably would but I was carrying 2 heavy bags of shopping walking on slippery snowed iced road so it wasn't practical for me to do that.

Good for you that you always have cash on you but there will be a time when you pop into one of these shops & find you don't have cash then you will know how annoying it is.

I never carry cash on me I only pay by card.

Is anyone else fed up with being told they can't take card payments unless it over ?5 or a whopping ?10 as in the ED newsagents on Lordship Lane! Popped into Dulwich DIY to get a radiator key, overpriced at nearly ?2 only to be told can't take card payment unless over ?5, old staff seem to have left too:(

I really miss the mini garden centre on Upland Rd as that's where I used to get mine. I've tried looking on the southwark website a while back & couldn't find any information, I thought they'd stopped doing them :( I don't understand why there is such a shortage?

Anyone know where i can get a jumper hole fixed? It's basically just picking up some stitches that have run.Needs to be someone familiar with knitting that knows what they are doing.
