Anyone else with Orange experiencing loss of internet connection this morning?
-
Hi guys, yes it came back on but now my broadband keeps going off!
-
Just noticed I've got no water in the kitchen, both hot & cold. Anyone know what's going on? Good thing I filled the kettle when I did for a cuppa lol
-
I bought a tube of mints & they had a hole running through the whole lot!
-
thank you so much japseylarue & Salsaboy, that's fab :)
-
I was thinking of getting a chest of drawers from Ikea & I read they should be screwed to the wall. Just wondered if someone knows if this is absolutely necessary, as I don't really want to be making holes in wall. Do they fall over/apart easily if not secured to wall or is it just a safety thing? Thanks.

Missing post/packages - lordship lane
Callie replied to Vixster250's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Just wondered if anyone else has noticed or experienced half posted letters hanging out of the letterbox, sometimes falling out onto the outside doormat! Someone isn't doing their job properly & this half arsed 'posting' could be another reason why mail is going missing ie the 'postman' is making it easy for someone else to take your post! -
Dangerous pavements in Upland Road
Callie replied to manindulwichse22's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm glad someone has brought this up at last as I too have been wondering about the awful state of the pavements round here & why the council doesn't do anything about them? -
the-e-dealer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If you are using dial up you will not see better > speed! lol, oh dear::o I didn't think dial up still existed let alone it be in use. All I can say is, to anyone out there still on 'dial up', please do yourselves a massive favour & get broadband now! You will never look back I promise you. You will be saving tons of money that you are now paying for crap dial up service & you will have a fast speed & reliable connection unlike anything you have got with dial up.

I find it odd how some have mentioned it is faster? Makes me wonder what on earth you are using lol. I have never had issues with the 'speed' on the forum & it hasn't made any difference at all, only thing now is that randomly I get a lot of blank space on the page I go to, a few others have mentioned this too, & I have to pull the page down with the scroll to take me to the top of the page. Something is definitely not right.

I think these fires are awful & should definitely be banned. The fire yesterday stank out my house & made me feel very ill.

Waitrose or M&S TYPE supermarket - do we want one on LL?
Callie replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There's fat chance of any sort of supermarket since Foxton's grabed what would have been an ideal space for one. And what exactly do Foxton's bring to East Dulwich apart from yet another in a long line of estate agents along LL. -

I think this might be the one with the Elmwood label on it. It is v nice, good quality but can be quite pricy. I usually buy it when they have it half price some days during the week, the pack of about 6 skinless breasts for ?3.50. I'm not a huge fan of co-op but this is the only chicken I trust to buy locally.

yes they are ok. I used to live top of Barry Rd & used them all the time but now I'm near LL I expect a decent service from them, I don't really want to go out of my way to post a small parcel

Hi Stacey-lyn, I too was stood in this queue yesterday for about 40mins, dreadful! Only half the windows were being served. The queue was right out the door along LL. It's been like this for some time now, not sure why so busy. We are 2 sub post offies down that I am aware of, one from E.D Rd & one from Crystal Palace Rd but they've been gone some years & there's still one by the library. Opening all the windows would obviously help though.

It's so fuck1ng selfish. doesn't stop me, just say excuse me & take the inner seat - could be though they just don't want to be squashed up to the window by some big fat sweaty stinker:(
