  6. Dear bookgroup, Thanks to everyone who came to our meeting last night. Our next meeting is on 28th August in the Blake room at the Clockhouse. Our chosen book is The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Maltese_Falcon_(novel) I think this will be a very interesting book. For any one interested we are planning a small tour of the area of London covered in The Child of The Jago some time in September followed a curry in Brick Lane. I look froward to seeing you when I return from Eire.

  14. Dear book group, Another very good meeting last Wednesday, the two of us really enjoyed it! Our next book is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night: https://www.gradesaver.com/the-curious-incident-of-the-dog-in-the-night-time/study-guide/summary. The meeting is on the 26th June in the Clock house in the Blake room at 8.00pm. Our summer BBQ is on June 8th and you are invited. Please let me know if you are intending to come or not, this helps with the food ie how much to cook. Menu: Veg Thai curry, Jerk chicken, burgers, Abdullah?s savoury rice, smoked chicken and some kind of salad. From about 2pm till 8pm.
