  4. Dear Book group, Many thanks to those of you who came fro our end of year meal, a thoroughly good night. We have had a good year with three mainstream authors coming to see us, Michel Faber, Rob Shearman and Evie Wylde. We also had a local philosopher come in to lead a discussion on consciousness after we read a book on atoms and where they come from. We are stardust. Thanks for your continued support. I have benefited from having such a large genre of books to read. The radio four book club has also been fun and we may well go back next year. So all the best for Christmas and the new year. The next meeting is January 18th in the Clockhouse. The book H is for Hawk took a bit of getting into but now I am thoroughly enjoying it. Hoots & haggis,

I was in America recently and I could believe almost anything, I saw a group of black protestors at the time of the ?Black Lives Mater? demonstrations so I wandered over to read their posters. All they said was ?God hates faggots & lesbians? Then there is this guy: PS He wouldn't serve Muslims and was voting for Trump.

  18. > Reported by the BBC: > > Home Secretary Jack Straw has continued to insist > that many travellers commit crimes. > Mr Straw also told the BBC the public supported > him because what he said was true. > > Speaking on BBC Radio Two's The Jimmy Young Show > Mr Straw cited a "wonderful" interview he had > heard on the radio which proved his point. This would be the same Mr Straw who supported invading Iraq because of the weapons of mass destruction??????
  19. Good news, Evie Wyld has confirmed and will be coming to our November meeting.
