  4. We have just as many murderers and psychopaths as any nation for example. We just don't give them jobs in positions of power where they can legally practise their sadism. What about our leaders who kept up twelve years of murderous sanctions against Iraq, followed by invasion; Afghanistan and now Libya? Sorry, off topic.

  10. Do the RSPCA have anything to say about this habit of clipping a bees wings? No but the RSPCI might. Will check.

    Big trampoline

    The young lad has gone very quiet. I wonder if a sudden gust of wind blew him slightly off centre on the way down. More info to follow. As for bee karma see my bee thread.
  12. New queen purchased and installed after three continuous weeks with no new brood. So I am 95% certain there is no other queen in the hive but at ?40.00 for a new queen it?s a bit of a risk. Will keep you all informed, I am hoping to see new eggs/brood one week from this coming Saturday.

    My son found it and thinking it had been thrown out took it home.
  20. Well well, my bloody disloyal queen has beggared orf with about one third of my hive. So I am now trying to order a new one. The last one cost ?40.00 and my new supplier doesn?t believe in clipping her wings so the new one might just beggar orf as well. Time will tell.
  21. Has anyone lost a big trampoline from Goose Green?

  23. That's a bit harsh. There was a spate of scams a while ago, I got caught twice, I only realised they were a con when I heard other peoples stories on here. It's worth knowing about. A woman on your doorstep with a baby at 10.00pm needing to borrow ten pounds so she can charge up her electricity key and a woman in floods of tears needing money to buy food for her children. Very plausible and a superb actress.

    e=mc2

    I am touch puzzled. In the sun two helium nuclei fuse to form Beryllium. Then another helium nuclei fuses with the Beryllium to form Carbon releasing more energy and so on. The combined mass of the new (fused) particles are less than the mass of all separate particles. This missing mass is turned into energy. This is fusion. In a bomb like the ones used in Japan the process was fission where atoms are split apart. Surely this is the opposite of fusion and there for the separate masses would be greater than the combined (fused) mass. So we have more mass after fission? So where does the huge energy of an atomic bomb come from? Both scenarios can?t be true?
