  1. It's axiomatic.
  2. What horrifies me is so much publicity about a party and nothing about the driving the NHS into the ground ready for privatisation.
  3. What you got was an electric shock. Electrocution means your dead. fishbiscuits Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sue Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > You can get an electric shock from the mains > > without being killed. > > 100% right. I think you are talking about an electro-statick shock?

  16. Dear Bookgroup, I am going to jump a head and suggest a book for our next meeting in December. It's The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro. It's a fantastic book, I couldn't put down. Wonderful stories of ogres pixies and dragons, King Arthur and a knight Sir Gawain, Merlin the wizard and warriors. Of course this is only a suggestion and we can be open to other books. We normally have an end of year meal and I would like to this year but please let me know how you feel about it, probably in Tandoori Night or the Chinese in Lordship Lane, both excellent restaurants. So please let me know about both and especially the meal. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2015/mar/04/the-buried-giant-review-kazuo-ishiguro-tolkien-britain-mythical-past
  17. Totally agree. With that and Starmer I don't think I'll ever vote Labour again. heartblock Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It was a design disaster - whoever is responsible > for that awful 'redesign' shouldn't be allowed > near a footpath let alone a three-way junction > -with heavy pedestrian and cycling use.
