If they are all mingers, then you have been a bad boy and ended up in hell. There's no way back, so if you intend to die try to bring a brown paper bag along for the ride...or beer goggles.

Quids First win of the Breeders Cup with Midday.....first Breeders Cup win for Henry Cecil and a great ride up the inside by Tom Quealy. I have to say its a very narrow track, sharp bend and very little finishing straight. If you are out of position coming off the bend you will not have time to rectify it in the straight. I think this will suit Rip who has a high travelling speed and hopefully will take the corner in the lead, but who knows. At least I'm in profit for tonight. PS: How quiet is the forum tonight!

I have a PM from TLS too and have asked Hugs to confirm the PM. They can't both be telling the truth.

The jockey said: "I have always dreamed of winning the Classic. It is the best race and all of the best horses run in it. It is the one race I would love to win. "When you are sitting at home watching it on TV and the Classic comes along you do get that buzz. Come Saturday and for Rip to win it would be brilliant. You can see what it means to everyone at Ballydoyle and everyone is getting a buzz out of this." Rip Van Winkle was noticeably sweaty when working on the track on Wednesday, but Murtagh is unfazed by that and believes his partner can end the winning run of 'wonder-mare' Zenyatta. He said: "The lad who rides him out says he is really bouncing and I have always thought the surface would suit him with the way he moves across the ground. "He stays well and I think a mile and a quarter around here will be tailor-made for him. He is a horse I really like. He has a fantastic cruising gear and a great heart. If he can win this I think it will justify all the thoughts I have had of him. "He would die for you and is all heart. He has got it all and there is no weakness with him. Zenyatta looks very good, but she hasn't run against the Rip yet."

Jeez Michael, that's good stuff. That's the sort of post noone can argue with it. The sort of thing you'd read in a professional periodical. I'm trying not to be sarcastic - it was very well constructed. A good read.

Which if I was Admin I would be pissed off > at. You can call him many things but he is > scrupulously fair I don't think that's the tone of this thread at all Sean. Its an open discussion about how these people came across on the forum and whether they are missed. We all very much appreciate the role some people play in assisting Admin in running the forum but I'm sure if Admin thinks he is being misrepresented to any great extent he will make that point. Is that not fair comment? I have to admit that my first post was "bring em back" but that was not intended to suggest I disagreed with Admins decision, I just thought this was a normal temporary ban and they'd soon be back, but it seems this is not the case this time round. I completely agree that Admin has always come across as fair to me. Its his house after all.

hugenot. Do you still have that pm for us to see? I have to say tls did not come across as the aggressive type to me. Obviously if you can substantiate this then i stand corrected. It seems more like something mikecg might have done?

I have to say I absolutely admire Liverpool fans. Every one that I have spoken to is supporting Rafa. (I just don't understand why thats all). Hope you are feeling better soon Sharon.

Good to see that, as night draws in, BBWs supporters come out to back him. Those day time people are much too sensible.

I am happy with the odds of a mix of about 2.5 to 1. But there is a lot of class in the race - but very good vibes coming from Ballydoyle. I would say 2/1 is a fair price now, its too short now with the home bookies which is typical breeders cup. I'd love to see it win - primarily for the money I will lose if it does not - but also I have been pushing this horse since before the Eclipse (did you know that already??) and I really want to see it fulfil its potential. Aiden O Brien has said its the best horse they have ever had and thats really saying something. I have enjoyed seeing it perform as well as it has. If you recall it was 7/1 for the Eclipse and chased STS home by a length that day. But I'm rarely confident in the Bredders Cup. I have a small saver on Summer Bird, not sure why I did that, but won't be doing any more on the race. There is now only a point between Rip and Zenyatta on Betfair 3.3 versus 4.3. Seems strange.

I'm agreeing with you Anna. As I say, I did not see it, I agree it crosses the line. We all have faith in Admin. Its his forum and we are happy to run with his rules. I'm entitled to ask for someone to be allowed back. Its Admins decision and noone elses. I don't suppose he will be back, it seems many people saw what I did not see. But I will only judge on what I read. That should not however stop us discussing the issue and yes even disagreeing - if eveyone agreed on everything, there would be few interesting threads.

Yes Anna, that does cross the line, but I did not see that one. I don't think anyone would disagree with you.

Ah I see - thanks Quids. I'll check it out for December.
