Matt - I agree, I think your posts are usually fair (although sometimes a bit too serious/long).
  2. I have to say if it wasn't for that fact that Atila's an Arsenal fan like me, we might not be such good mates.
  3. Try Harver and Wheeler, Spencer Kennedy and Pickwick Estates for that money. Not much in ED goes to that price. Unless you include the SE22 houses on the village side of Dulwich Library, which are ED in postcode only.

  5. Sorry, I'm not settling for a penny less that the big 1M. I'm sure my little house is worth it.
  6. Join the queue Jeremy.
  7. Well, people can always change their mind Bob.
  8. Are you THE administrator, The Admin. We prefer just Admin.

  11. Amazes me Anna that the Threshers staff did not check out the card with such a big purchase. Anyway, hope you get the money back. You're sure you didn't spend it when you were drunk? Have you checked the wine cellar?
  12. Just about all the music I like has been on this thread. Tom Waits is brilliant - even better if it just him, you and a glass of whisky. He's fantastic. Martha was the first song I heard of his, Martha by some bearded bloke - but good
  13. Take that Leeds....1974 memories http://www.pma-group.com/new_images/keegan_bremner_1974.jpg
  14. Ok Nigee - for a Million, you have forced my hand and you can have my house. I'm ready to sell it to you tonight. Just wait until I see if I can wake the kids.
  15. I think it would be wrong for Bellamy to be punished/castigated for this - he should not have done what he did, but fans who come onto the pitch don't deserve protection. After all it was only a push/slap. Having said that if you have a bad boy image already then you should avoid trouble.
  16. STS now 11/10 Quids based upon good weather prediction for the next week.
  17. Like the Boss and Van Morrison too. Can't see how anyone would not like Thunder Road on Born to Run. I know I have said it before. Want to buy Astral Weeks to test out early Van Morrison as it is supposedly his best effort. It was before my time.

Overall, I see your point Keef and to a certain extent you are correct, we should not object to churches just becasue they are churches. There needs to be a demand for them however and I'm not sure how this is measured or whether churches just like to have a presence in most areas.

You did not respond to my post Keef - I'll assume that's because you thought it was just "super".

Keef - I am one of the people who wants it to fail because its a church. The reason for this is that churches have money from donations, they build a church to have a presence in a society whether there is a real demand for that church or not. They do not have to have significant attendees to survive as the wider based church donations pay for its upkeep. The cinema is a business - if there is no demand it will fail. But it is likely to be of use to more people in society. The church will lie empty 95% of the week and contribute little to society, but take up a prime space. We don't need more churches, demand for them is falling dramatically. Its not a case of people objecting just because its a church, there is usually some logic, and a more attractive alternative is being offered.
  21. 5/4 is short quids but good luck. Will see what happens to rip before looking at arc. Hard to oppose sts even at short odds.
