Well he was set up - but these interviews have a way of reflecting the ethics and morals of the subject, and he clearly was proved to have neither. At what point did he not realise that he now is the establishment and represents the FA as the games rulemaker. He didn't fit in to that transition easily.
  3. Obvious way of putting it Bob - but there are a number of people here at my work over 5O - who in my own opinion have enough money to comfortably retire but continue to push themselves - that's probably why they earned so much money in the first place. I'm not sure if its just wanting that little bit more, or whether they have big brains, are competitive and love the daily interaction on technical issues. I'm talking lawyers here. I understand that's not going to be the case if your job becomes unrewarding and mundane, which I think influenced my mate's decision. I think also once its done its done, there is no coming back to high level employment once you have stepped away. so its final.
  4. Haha - blown out BNG ? We will always be there for you.
  5. He's going to resign....oh gawd, how dumb has he been. Such a shame , I'm sure he feels a right idiot. What a horrible position to be in.

KENT He says he needs to be slightly careful with this money - but I don't believe him. PS: I know it was rhetorical, but I answered the question anyway

  8. I think he's just fallen out of love with work due to realising he has stopped moving up the corporate ladder - as we all do eventually. He was always very ambitions before.
  9. He wouldn't. I was pointing out that going abroad for example is not an option at this stage in life, to pre-empt the obvious suggestions of seeing the world etc
  10. A friend of mine has recently been made redundant and has decided he can afford not to go back to work. He's effectively retiring at 50. It sounds like the ideal - but his children are still youngish, youngest is 10, so he cant exactly go off somewhere. Would you do the same? Obviously work is a financial necessity for many and also there is a large group who cant seem to give it up even post retirement age. Would you do it in these circumstances. I'm sort of trying to figure out if I should be jealous or not.
  11. I'm going to go out on a limb and say we will give Man City a good game on Wednesday night. That means we wont get hammered. Lose by two at the worst, but hopefully give them a scare and maybe sneak something.

Calm down? The point of the above post was that it was poison, as identified by the vet, yet some people continue to post to say it may have been disease. This needs to be clearly pointed out. The vet has confirmed it was poison. Let's clear about that.

What is it you don't understand about the vet having confirmed it was poisoned as stated above.
  15. Ooooh. That's harsh Jah.
  16. And for Bradley and team Sky, once David Walsh is accusing you, as he clearly is in the Times today, your card is marked and reputation affected.
  17. My view of performance enhancing is something that taken by an athlete who didn't suffer from ill health, would enhance his performance. Would cocodomol do that ?

  19. If you mean a standard loft conversion it should be only 50k legit without any request to help the builder avoid tax. Try South London Lofts. Your builder might I think be pretending he is giving you a discount for cash when he isn't really.
  20. I can say that this thread was never to be about cheating. That's why its called Naughty Bradley Wiggins. What I wanted to debate was the TUEs.
  21. From Time magazine (reference Lance Armstrong - although LA took other performance enhancers too) Corticosteroids (e.g., cortisone). These drugs reduce inflammation, assist in recovery and can provide a burst of energy and create a temporary feeling of increased energy and well-being. Throughout the relevant time period, corticosteroids were improperly provided to cyclists by team doctors and trainers to increase energy and enhance performance. ? USADA will also rely upon firsthand testimony from witnesses who were aware of Armstrong?s use of cortisone without medical authorization.

I hope you can still enjoy your favourite curry.
  23. From Wikipedia: "These included three intramuscular injections of the drug triamcinolone ? a powerful corticosteroid which has been described as a huge performance enhancer. This is the same performance enhancing drug which Lance Armstrong was convicted of using"
