  1. New Celtic signing Moussa Dembele tells it how it is.... :) Ironically, Dembele could have been hearing the Champions League anthem at White Hart Lane. Tottenham Hotspur wanted the striker last January. ?It was between the clubs to get an agreement and they didn?t,? said Dembele. ?At the time, it was disappointing, now, I have to say ?thanks? because this is a better opportunity for me. First, Celtic is a bigger club in Europe than Tottenham. ?I know I could earn more somewhere else, but I wouldn?t have the opportunity to play. A club like Celtic does not come along often in your life.? Yes - the 750k must buy you a bit of Dulwich Picture Gallery. It probably comes out of the 200k above market you are paying for the apartment.

Same here. And then when I do think I recognise someone, my wife says - don't be ridiculous, it looks nothing like them...

Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's possible to support both. > > > I agree with all the criticism of Hodgson, but if > the players were that good they'd have been able > to beat Iceland despite his tactics. I sort of disagree with this Otta. That match if anything was a demonstration of how a group with average players can be taught to play well as a team (Iceland) and a team of quality players can be held back by poor coaching (or playing the wrong system for their talents) - so much so that, with a bit of luck, the former rises above the latter. I was very critical of Liverpool appointing Hodgson on here, and was equally critical of England appointing him. Its been 4 wasted years - at very least it should have been obvious after losing in the world cup, he should have been sacked then. That would have been decisive but fair. AM's comparison to rugby is a good one - England's rugby team demonstrates that, the same team, with the right coach can go from a poor world cup 9 months, to world beaters. I do think the England football team have good players, but the FA have a habit of picking a coach that plays a very different style to the one they play every week. England passed the ball behind each other the whole tournament - you constantly lose momentum - you create momentum by passing the ball marginally in front of the player you are passing to, so he can move forward and look forward, not back.

  12. When I moved to East Dulwich people tried to tell me I had moved to Peckham. No shame in that now, it's all cool. I think East Dulwich is no longer the poor relation of Dulwich, such that when people hear Dulwich, they maybe think of East Dulwich.... the popular part. Or perhaps the stores are effectively merging the two areas into one. Let's face it no one has a Dulwich store anyway, there is no street... so LL is I guess Dulwich's main shopping area.

I think he didn't have long left on his contract. But seems a bargain. Always surprised MU didn't try for him tho, either now or when with Celtic, but there you go.

It has free movement of labour which is what the brexit voters in general were voting against.

Amazing performance. Saw her on Jools a few months ago. Amazing dance act. Haven't seen the "Glasto" :) set yet.
  17. Yes, I wasn't focussed on the Hitler Youth songs - just his "fascist" views and some concerning personality traits - and the Head having referred to him as Fascist in the letter.
  18. steveo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > That's three years old Mick. And his mate denies > it ever happened Oh - ok, but its maybe more relevant today, now that he's talking about a Brexit Government. What are you saying never happened - the letter seems genuine. Also I have just emailed someone I know who was at DC with him and he says NF had pretty strong views on just about everything then. And I've just noticed his initials are NF :)

  22. You just don't get it PD. You are comparing a refereeing error, which happens regularly, with two greats of the game Maradona and Thierry Henry, tarnishing their reputations and bringing the game into disrepute, by handling the ball into the net in important games.
