Its the "holier than thou" who should never have been allowed in ;)
  3. He's taking a big risk going to Everton. He built a good foundation at Southampton and could have done another season. Not that Everton are not a big club, but he wont go from there to Barca I wouldn't have thought, another season at Southampton and who knows, the Arsenal/Liverpool jobs could be up for grabs. He could get stuck at Everton. Howard Kendall is the only success at Everton in 50 odd years.

(apart from racists) its the open door policy that people don't like, not immigrants themselves - its a poor EU policy that needs to be constrained imo. I'd rather stay in but deal with the immigration question within the EU. It sort of assumes each country might have something equal to offer, but in reality some countries have a greater draw than others and some have very little attraction. And a bit like the north south divide in the UK, people will be attracted to the stronger economic areas, who at the moment cant necessarily cope with additional people. Its a very socialist European concept and we aren't a particularly socialist country.
  5. I have clearance and should be there.
  6. Forum drinks might be good. PM Georgia for details - I couldn't find the link.

  10. Maybe. And is that your new sign off ? That's quite funny.
  11. I was brought up to believe (wrongly) that God created the earth and watches all that we do in our lives. We will be judged by him. What goes around comes around. Lots of people believe that their life was created by some greater being. The people who believe this are in the majority on this earth. There is the irony?
  12. Foxy. You are beginning to remind me of Hannibal Lector. Did you have Chianti with that.
  13. Fair enough but when a line is intended to be tongue in cheek and rhetorical, coming back by stating the obvious doesn't really add a lot. It's a dull world so maybe cut loose every now and again AM.
  14. That's the point. Maybe you should give it a go AM. Otta. If either Irish team gets out of the group it would be a surprise but maybe NI are underrated after a long unbeaten run and could squeeze into the knockout stages. England. I just can't get optimistic. I didn't think it was a good managerial appointment and found England difficult to watch against Portugal. They seem to have no real drive. They do however have very good strikers and the goals could come given a chance.
  15. I know a fair bit about him but not as much as others and am looking forward to learning more and enjoying the tributes. Float like a butterfly.
  16. Died Friday evening. What a man and what a life.
  17. That's funny Jah, but you don't like it up yah so I'll keep it to football. Looking forward to the Euro's, what price one of the Irish teams getting as far as Engerland...?

  19. It's funny though isn't it. And yours isn't. ;)
  20. This is funny though A move to Manchester United remains the favourite at 4/9, with Celtic now second favourites, LA Galaxy at 6/1 and a return to AC Milan priced at 14/1.
  21. Oh I see. My wife discovered Aperol spritz in Venice a month ago and I'd never heard of it. Now i see it advertised at Peckham Rye station.
  22. That's a great insight AM - but not very funny.
  23. This thread I suspect is not as upmarket as DR hoped, when he glanced from over the road. Does anyone this side of LL know what a Negroni actually is? No Googles pls.
  24. My son has a Sims world RD. The Oxford University Professor thinks he could be the type to create a personal universe. What is key apparently, is whether these civilizations learn to pro create. Surely we recognize the precedent for this "theology" Ps. Man United are trophy less so far in rorys new sims world.
  25. They referenced Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and interviewed a professor from Oxford. Technology is now so advanced that we could create civilizations of millions of people who we observe. Our personal worlds that we control. Evan Davies asks if it matters if we are in fact in a simulation or not.
