  1. Don't worry your pretty little head Alan.
  2. Otta - I have always liked Keane - you know that.
  3. I don't know RD - we lost to quite a few teams I hadn't even heard of. That's real bad. Anyway the press seem to think its: Moyes Lennon O'Neill (Michael) Brendan Rogers Keane Larsson Coyle Stubbs Alternatively - none of the above as it turns out actually none of them want the job having seen what's on offer from the Celtic Board - then someone no one has ever heard of. Of the above list I don't want Moyes - and I don't really know why - he happens to be favourite - nor Larsson or Coyle.

  8. I'd move to sky but don't have a landline, or a need for a landline and therefore don't want to pay 17.50 per month - I already pay sky a small fortune for sports etc are there any other non landline options others than virgin.?

If Corbyn was a leader of sufficient stature to threaten the Tories, then the Tories would absolutely nail Corbyn for this. No question.
  10. If anyone else did this you would not get very far with the honest mistake line with HMRC. Mandatory penalties normally apply in cases of incorrect returns / omissions like this - with reductions for cooperation etc. When I said I wondered if there was more to this - I'm wondering why JC wont release the associated amendments etc - I wonder if he only did the amendments last week!
  11. I personally have my doubts about the rush to buy to let before 5 April. ok, if you were in a process to buy already then speed it up a few weeks but I think people have only been further dis-incentivised to buy to let in the last year and wont have been motivated by potentially avoiding a stamp duty hike. I don't see the early completion of these properties distorting the market significantly - or reflecting a market going into reverse - in fact the main market significantly outweighs BTL and the main market usually has a very busy period in Q2.

  13. I'm not sure I buy the incompetence of leaving three items off his tax return. I suspect HMRC feel the same.
  14. Excluding three sources of taxable income from your tax return ..... tut tut I'm expecting the same people who called for Cameron's head (for legitimate tax planning) to be calling for the head of this blatent tax cheat. Playing dumb doesn't work - albeit he's getting very good at it. When did he file the amendment (did he have to be prompted by HMRC) and when did he pay the correct tax? Given that he filed the original tax return late - he didn't have time before 31 January to correct his return before the statutory deadline - therefore its a late filed incorrect return.
  15. I think overall ED has a decent mix of people. What's not to like.
  16. I am still seeing prices rising slowly but steadily - This looks like a quick sale - don't know if it was on previously though http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-41026191.html

  19. The blood alcohol percentage for driving in Northern Ireland for example, is 0.08% - couldn't find UK one on wikipedia If the pro rata amount of alcohol to breast milk ratio (0.08%) was passed on to a baby I (personally) very much doubt this would have any effect. Layman's logic applied. You would have to multiply the drink driving limit by 10 for your baby to be drinking anywhere near 1% alcohol in its tiny "bottle" of milk size measure. This may be where the two bottles of wine being ok comes from. But what the scientists are saying is that they cannot prove it has no effect (which is extremely difficult to do) - hence caution in a litigious society. Obviously I'm not a doctor, or I wouldn't be writing this - so take it with a pinch of alcohol.

If you go to the Cheese Block the French brie is amazing. Rubbery it certainly isnt.
  21. Who knows whether it was a burgler or something else such that he deserved a bigger coordinated response. Hopefully it was the cat killer.
  22. Also - you don't get a disc any more so a traffic warden type is unlikely to pick you up on it. Id suggest you'll get a reminder and any payment you then make will be backdated - I guess.
  23. Personally I wouldn't have complained about Le Chandelier if it wasn't implied by the OP that it was closing - I was reminiscing on my brief encounter there 5 years ago and I guess in restaurant terms you are allowed to speak ill of the dead. I didn't complain at the time, I have a fair few poor experiences locally (and good ones too) but tend not to criticise local businesses if they are trying to succeed.

The baby was asleep in the buggy so couldn't leave it outside. Small buggy and v small baby. My wife and I had carefully put it into a nice corner, not in anyone's way. When we had then sat down at the table next to it she asked us to move - there clearly wasn't anywhere to move to, it was busy. They wont mind losing one couple as customers but her attitude was v poor and that was what irked me. They have to live with the feedback in the internet review age.

Not been in there for 10 years or so Exactly my experience. They wouldn't let me and Mrs M have a seat in the front as we had a small buggy with sleeping baby, despite the fact that we had easily fitted it in a little corner and it wasn't in the way. There was no other space so it pretty much meant we had to get up again and reverse out. They could have told us this before we settled down. 5 years ago and chose not to go there again. I think they had an "aspiration" in terms of what type of client they wanted - trouble is if you piss off enough people....
