  1. I'll be 50+ some day and I feel confident i'll feel the same.
  2. I'm way too tired to read all of that Otta - what did it say?

  4. Either that or everyone is.

  6. In general actors like to perform. Its what attracts them to acting in the first place surely. They don't tend to be shrinking violets who fear being recognised.

I mean now rather than before. I see HH as offering something similar to ED, but I now know more people in ED who would see Peckham as the obvious alternative to a night out in ED. I'd love to see the Half Moon reopen. I'd travel to that. I was there a couple of times to see music but it seemed to be dying even then. I think it maybe stopped offering music well before the flood?
  8. I have seen X+Y and I would call it "interesting" Even more interesting that these international maths competitions even exist.
  9. It's what a celebrity comes to expect surely. Unless of course they were buying a sofa for their secret lover and have been famously outed. Sliding doors and it could all so easily have been so different.
  10. I think people in ED are more likely to go out in Peckham than Herne Hill. It's got something different from ED but HH doesn't. Cant see much attraction with HH.

In which case you are unlikely to get a meaningful or helpful answer.
  13. Rooney might have the OT red carpet named after him. The Rooney Rug.

  15. Think recent weeks have seen an improvement but that's a setback for LVG. Can't see him either walking or being sacked though. He's too big an appointment to give up on so soon.
  16. Might have been the only team you beat that year.
  17. Do you declare all of these bribes you get from curry house owners Mike?
  18. 12th in the league - ha, - that tells you something.

I thought my post was clear.... For any gift amount, survive 7 years and you don't have to worry, it falls out of your estate. The "implications" are if you don't survive 7 years - if so it comes within your estate, on a taper basis. The 3k is the IHT annual exemption but assuming a bigger amount you need to consider the 7 years.
  22. But thanks anyway Emily ......
  23. Great idea CL. I didn't know they would consider this - how many do you need in total to make it viable (this particular film is not for me but useful to know) . thx
  24. My view is that its never easy to get over the line when you haven't won it before or even for a while - as Newcastle under Keegan showed, and Man United under Ferguson and Arsenal under George Graham. Even big leads can disappear, confidence goes, nerves kick in (Newcastle could hardly string a pass together in the matches after the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool). I thought Arsenal had blown it in 1989. Experience counts for a lot in the run in and "giving" anyone the title before April is silly.
