  1. My 2 year old is also in size 4 still but she's very skinny. I recommend Sainsburys' Eco Little Ones and also Sainsburys' Baby Dry never had leaks but suppose soem babies are heavier wee -ers than others!
  2. Looking forward to trying it out!
  3. My little escape artist has never managed to tip backwards, I think we have the extended gliders though (they just came with the chair?!).
  4. Agree with Belle and others. I walked miles with my pram, used it every day on different surfaces etc and so much nicer to push than the Maclaren we use now which gives me back ache and is heavy to get up and down curbs when loaded with bags etc...Depends what kind of lifestyle you have but if I had to choose to splash out on one bit of baby equipment it would be the pram as it's undergone the heaviest use.
  5. Audrey we started of the the Cameleon which was a great buy, comfy for baby and great to push compared to rickety strollers so really worked for me as I did loads of walking. Bought a Maclaren Quest when E was 11 months though as I went back to work and commuted part of the way with baby. Although Camelon is fine on the bus I thought the samller the better on busy buses. We also use it for holidays as it takes up much less room in the boot. However we have just bought an Ergo sling and I think with something like that you could do without a buggy on holiday/public transport?! We'll see. Got to sell Bugaboo anyway as baby no.2 due in October. Good luck Strawbs it is a minefield. By the way I really like the Bee!
  6. My sympathy Vickster, my daughter was the same. I've heard great things about the jumperoo but my OH wasn't keen- too big and plastic. E used to like the bumbo from 4ish months, I used to put it on the kitchen table etc which I know is naughty but I was always close by.
  7. I've found the staff at Bravissimo near Oxford Circus to be brilliant. They have loads of different styles to choose from and if they don't have something in the size/colour you need they'll order it then and there to be delivered to your home address. Good luck
  8. Another vote for the sheet sleeping bag, got ours from Jo Jo. E (2) usually ends up at the opposite end of the cot to the one she goes to sleep at so not going to ditch them any time soon (I believe grobags go up to age 9...maybe a bit extreme?!).
  9. Loved the Noel Streightfeild books! Sorrel is lovely was on my list last time but OH having none of it! I know a little girl called Rowena which I like- they called her Ro-ro as a baby.
  10. Ha I'm with you on this one snowboarder! E was 2 in Feb and still in cot and grobag. Am convinced that given half a chance she could climb out as she can get out of grobag so we have to respond to her as soon as she wakes in the morning but would rather do that than change to a bed. Baby 2 due in October though and can't decide whether to change things before then, like Ruth can't bear the thought of constant putting back to bed/resettling when things have been so good *touches wood*. E was quite a small baby but out of moses basket at 12ish weeks due to rolling over/thrashing around so we may need E's cot sooner than we think. Trying to persuade OH that we NEED a bednest but he's not keen...
  11. These are gorgeous Pickle! I woud buy the vest for a little girl but having a longer versian as well is a great idea. Hearing that you can wash wool in a machine is a revelation to me, not sure if I dare...
  12. We bought E one of those eco potties and she refuses to sit on it- seems a long way down. We got her a potty chair from Mothercare instead (?8 I think) and she prefers it as you sit rather than squat on it. Think it's like the Baby Bjorn one mentioned above.
  13. Great idea! Only July date I can do is 17th but can do last 2 in June.
  14. Myatt's Field jets weren't on yesterday.
  15. Can't believe I forgot to mention the HVs at Forest Hill Road Practice. Your experience sounds familiar Saffron! I would avoid at all costs. This time I'm not going to bother going to the baby clinic apart from for immunisations.
  16. oops somehow managed to duplicate previous post!
  17. I feel the same Belle, if it was that important why don't they contact you requesting you make an appointment?!
  18. Me too! Due 17th Oct. Also have a 2 year old. Would be very interested in Park meet ups for others with toddlers and/or coffee and cake.
  19. Another vote for Oakwood! This is my second pregancy and I think they've been even better than they were with my first 2 years ago. I've always found the GPs fine and have never had a problem getting an appointment on the same day (as long as I've called in the morning) but we don't go that much and have heard a few less than favourable comments on this forum...
  20. Thanks for the link Saffron. E seems to tick all boxes athough like little SB she is not possessive over own toys, I just thought that was good natured! Off topic: when do they get an awareness of danger?! Playground visits have just got quite stressful!
  21. We've not had ours yet- didn't even know it existed either until a friend told me. I've been ignoring it due to my low opinion of hv and not great experience at 8 month check. Not sure what consequences are though!
  22. That's interesting Buggie. I'm still giving my 10kg ish 2 year old 5mls of Calpol- is that way too little?! It seems to work (though we use it rarely- touch wood!).
  23. Yes! Love ours, and means E has always eaten at the table with us also love the fact you can push it under the table- very tidy. Next time would buy the from birth seat bit too, wasn't available when E was born...
  24. Another vote for the Maclaren Quest, folds up small, great for public transport and fitting in boot and can be very upright. Our daughter had been in it since 11months or so and has always been able to fall asleep in it (a little to easily some of the time!)
  25. I love Uniqlo for cheap classics- v neck jumpers, cardies and sometimes coats. Espeically good if you're not very tall...
