England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and the RoW. Let's just take it one step at a time and try not to trip.
  8. I arrived at the test centre and was told to wait for the examiner to appear. I was the tender age of 18. My nerves were on edge but I put on a brave face when the examiner came out with his clipboard, I tried to be friendly and cheerful but he was like a strict headmaster. Walking to the car he asked 'which one was mine' and I pointed and said 'That metal one over there'.

Many thanks for your concern. Thank you Mollymay. I have submitted the complaint. Let's see what happens now. I will keep this thread updated.
  10. 1028 people have viewed this post so far and only 14 people have replied. Out of the 1028 people there must be others who have experienced a trip, tumble or a fall on the Lordship Lane pavements. If you have please report it here, so I can gain your support in getting these pavements renewed. Many thanks.
  11. I am sorry to read about the accidents you all have had, and hope your recovery is speedy and wish you good health for the future. Does anyone mind if I direct the council to this page with a link so they can read some of your stories, I am sure other people have had accidents on these pavements. Yes, it is a disgrace and the council need to be badgered about it. And let's hope they don't take too long with their planning!!! Wish me luck.
  12. Thank you D61, i'll look into it.
  13. I was coming out of a shop in Lordship Lane and stumbled and scraped my heal on a piece of pavement that was sticking up, it's not badly injured but if any elderly person or someone not steady on their feet were to trip on it, it could cause a lot of damage to them. As I walked further on I noticed that much of the pavement is broken and uneven, with pot holes and weather damage. Who do you complain to about this? Yes, there may be many posh shops popping up on LL all very ---- ------- ---, but do we really have to break our necks to get to them.
  14. Marmite-Love, I know it's not local and not sure if you would travel to North London, but Alexandra Palace is having fireworks on Friday and Saturday the 4th and 5th November. You can check out the website here : http://www.fireworks.london/ Lavender27
  15. Try Amazon.com or ebay.co.uk
  16. Oh Burger off, you burgers!!!
  17. It's looking for me! I'm hiding, don't tell them where I am.
  18. Victoria Wood outside my office.
  19. I've changed doctors a few times, it's the same everywhere.
  20. they shouldn't rely on the internet. Did they not go to medical school? Next time I will google my symptoms and get the diagnosis and deal with it myself or just go and ask for the prescription max 2 minutes with doctor, no eye contact needed, they can just keep their head stuck in the computer. What I am actually talking about is face to face communication with a doctor. Yes they should be given more time with the patient and afterwards write up their notes.
  21. If they are experienced doctors they shouldn't have to google symptoms, I know you are only joking ????, I could google my own symptoms and not go to the doctors. Having no bedside manner lacks communication between patient and gp.

Jeremy, yes, good idea, you could freeze them too. It's a shame for them to go to waste. Maybe chop them finely or grate or blitz them in a food processor and put more flour in pancake mix to make a firmer fritter (like a fishcake). Good luck x
  23. Apple Fritters Sliced apples, floured and dipped in pancake batter, fried for a few minutes each side. Delicious. easy and cheap, yes.
  24. This is not quite a tiny little thing that causes me irrational rage, it is probably a big issue for all. "doctors" when you are sitting in their "office" and they stare and type on their pc while the consultation is taking place, it's as if you are talking to an empty space or the wall. I hate it. You could be complaining about having 8 heads and they wouldn't look at you, they would just type 'patient has 8 heads'. No eye contact, no good bedside manner anymore. I tried facing the other way one time and was told off for having challenging behaviour. huh
