  1. I wondered if these existed! I have a vest top with annoyingly long straps which I found I could use just like that. Also bought a couple with adjustable straps that served well...
  2. i think if you check in the carrier it would be worth putting a bag around it, though they wouldn't necessarily demand it, as things tend to get pretty grubby! Have a lovely trip :o)
  3. would have loved to but lucky bubba has to come with me to work as I've been dragged in to cover someone still stuck abroad after the ash cloud... looks like another lovely day too, sigh.
  4. my 19 month old will pretty much try anything that has been dipped in ketchup....
  5. sadly had to work today, hope you had a lovely afternoon!
  6. looking forward to the next one too, had a lovely time as did bubba, though next time hope to have more time to chat and spend less time chasing after runaway toddler! plenty of trees to tie him to... ;o) BTW Molly, Olivia was so good with the younger kids, I saw her speaking to one of the little boys from another camp who had stepped on her finger or something and made it bleed, she was saying "you're not in trouble so don't worry, but I just wanted to show you what has happened, that's all..", so sweet, really made me smile. also really nice to put faces to names (and names to names for that matter!)
  7. yay! See you all there. Sympathies curlykaren ;o)
  8. is the picnic area the bit between the cafe and the one o'clock club...?
  9. count us in! will be me, a 19 month old and a bump
  10. so the toddler seat which sits underneath eventually is the same one that goes on top at the beginning?
  11. how does a p&t vibe fit a newborn and a toddler? had a look at one in a shop yesterday but couldn't work it out! does the newborn go in the top seat fully reclined while the toddler sits underneath? and if so, is there enough room for the toddler? thanks.. :o)
  12. we bought our icing because we wanted red, which isnt easy to do using food colouring as it goes pink (edited to say that if anyone wants the spare pack i mentioned above you are welcome to it)
  13. I like the idea of a large family with 5 or 6 kids but really don't think i could handle all the pregnancies. i think it'll be two and thats it :)
  14. then green it must be! ;-) hope you have fun, we made a bus and while it didn't look EXACTLY like the picture we got from the internet, and took much longer then the half hour i thought it would (so naive..), i'm still looking forward to the next one
  15. I got some from a shop in Putney- i bought 8 packs of icing and it was around 15pounds http://www.cakes4fun.co.uk I have one pack of red remaining which you are welcome to, it's 250g and expires in June. Helen
  16. Fanny or bits, before and after being a parent!
  17. Just wanted to add my sympathy! my 18 month old has just got over something similar, which started with him vomiting all over me and the hand luggage while waiting to do through security at Dubai airport Thursday before last. They kindly opened another security line just for us and we got taken to the airport med centre via speedy airport vehicle. the diarrhoea started on the plane back to London, which was fun. I've never been so happy to see heathrow! Anyway, I thought it would NEVER end, but all well since Saturday just gone so just remember that it will pass! Tears are allowed :o)
  18. yes please! local would also be good as i may have to dash home to bed soon after 10... :o)
  19. happy mothers day all! my little one had me up at 6 instead of 4 or 5 this morning (jetlag..) so i'm happy with that! now hubby just needs to get out of bed... hmmm...
  20. Congrats :o) I'm 13 weeks along with an (almost)18 month old, I've been telling him ever since I found out. Took him to the scan with me yesterday and he kept poking my belly saying 'boobie', and when he saw the image on the screen he pointed and said 'cat'. Safe to say he doesn't understand yet but I'm hoping that by involving him where I can it will help later on... Turns out the due date is his birthday though so hoping I'm not one of the small percentge who actually gives birth on time.. I'll check out the books too, thanks for the suggestions :o)
