  1. There is an A4 sized booklet available each term which details what is on, there are a couple covering different areas... I pick them up at the albrighton centre opposite sainsburys but I'm sure they are available all over!
  2. maybe if you put whole handfuls in at a time, heavier you see...
  3. I don't really do resolutions as they make me feel bad when I fail at them, BUT as I spent most of 2009 in catch up mode I sincerely hope it will not be the same next year. It's exhausting! Happy new year everyone!
  4. yes (if you havent left already!) i'm by the horniman so that would be good for me, i'll pm you my number
  5. Wow, that is cutting it fine! but as that tends to be my style I applaud your optimism :o) I wish you all the best for your impending nuptials and birth! Helen
  6. love the story Ryedalema, no messing around then! Congratulations, glad she arrived safely :o)
  7. I would be grateful for housework elves, present and food buying elves, baby entertaining elves... cooking elves.... and elves to wait in for the courier delivering a screen that should have been here Tuesday and without which there will be no rockband at Christmas (tragedy)!
  8. Nice work Pickle, see dreams do come true! Luckily for me my in-laws are in Switzerland, and don't speak English. My French is rudimentary at best so even if they said something to offend me I wouldn't know it :o)
  9. that the paper butter comes wrapped in actually contains foil and therefore should NOT be put in the microwave?? (as it will catch on fire, and the butter will still not be melted!)
  10. I was going to ask the same question BB, I'm flying to NZ with my (will be) 17 month old at the end of January... Luckily they have given me bulkhead seats so that'll be a lot less painful than trying to keep him contained in the little space we otherwise would have had. Thanks for the tip on Medised Pickle, was wondering if there was something I could take with me just in case he decides not to sleep!
  11. a wonder woman t-shirt. Don't ask why, just a current obsession... wentworth miller, or maybe the actor from the big blue (not jean reno, the other one..) SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!! and I would very much like it if the blonded ends of my hair would magically change to match my natural colour as I have no inclination to spend the time or money required for upkeep, but am still vain enough not to want to look like my hair needs doing! but mainly sleep...
  12. Agree with the loo shower clothes stuff above, on the plus side not a lot embarrasses me these days. I do and say so many dumb things that now I have trouble caring (though when I asked a lady when she was due the other day on the bus and it turned out she wasn't pregnant I felt a bit small, though in my defence the rest of her was tiny and she said it happened all the time)
  13. I'm not sure about whether to continue giving the formula or not, but my 14 month old had the runs and a bit of vomiting this week, I called NHS direct and they were more than happy to speak to me even though it wasn't an emergency. There's also SELDOC if your surgery is closed and you would like to speak to a doctor.

  15. well at least you have something to show for your age! Though I'm not sure mid-thirties can even be considered middle-aged... surely... (panics)

  17. not sure if it's relevant but was recently advised to gargle with either salt water or listerine twice a day to kill bugs/viruses, as they hang around in your throat and nose for a couple of days before starting their dirty work... also was advised to swab the inside of my nostrils with the salt water though I have not taken it up yet...
  18. The Bay of Plenty is nice, Rotorua has already been mentioned with its mud pools and geysers and there is an active volcano just off the coast called White Island. You can fly over it and I think even land there in a helicopter... Not sure where the flights go from but think its Tauranga Airport. Hope you have a wonderful time, your three weeks will fly by!
  19. It's in a prefab building which you can get to by going a little further up Dog Kennel Hill, where there is a driveway leading into the estate carpark. If you go in and keep walking in a straightish line away from the road youo will see it on the left. Good luck :o)
  20. cool thanks everyone, Molly I'll check out the petite star, and Snowboarder, I'd love to try it out if it's ok! I'll pm you. Thanks again, Helen

  22. random question, do the front wheels fit down the aisles of all buses? I only ask because i currently have a tractor-like three wheeler which occasionally gets stuck, and before investing in another pram thought I'd better check! The guy in the shop assures me they're not as wide as they seem, but as he won't let me take one on appro i can't really be sure...
