  1. yes, over health matters. went with my first at two weeks old, and he didn't have the same extent of problems with wind but still had it, am going today with baby girl..
  2. ditto most of what has been said above, but also don't worry about the other passengers, many will have been in your situation and will be sympathetic, and though there will be those that will give you unfriendly looks if your child kicks off, you will NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN so just do your best not to stress! have fun!
  3. how was the osteopathy psych? am taking little miss on friday.
  4. i changed my own, its a bit fiddly but do-able if you can get a new brake. i took one off a broken chassis, maybe someone on here has one in storage in case JL doesn't help
  5. no, to be honest i havent, but i will give it a go. the let down doesn't feel strong but maybe only because i'm used to it
  6. thanks again everybody for your posts, I have already made an appointment for cranial osteopathy, next friday was the first appt i could get! I have been one sided feeding for a while as she favours one side, and my just-turned-2 yr old still feeds a bit so i can give him the other side to make sure my milk stays up. I went to work yesterday and so expressed some milk, and apparently she burped wonderfully after taking the bottle, which had teats for newborns so probably slow delivery and therefore less gulping of air. She was settled and slept the whole afternoon, and then when i went to pick her up she fed a bit from me then started howling! think she might be allergic to me... ;o)
  7. and I'll add colief to the list of things to ask the GP, thanks Bishberro
  8. she's in a moses basket.. Thank you that would be great Saffron, I'll pm you :)
  9. My little boy never had it as a small baby then around 1 he got it. never bothered him though and as you say, the hair covers it. I used to put olive oil then comb his hair in the bath and get what i could before he noticed! canadianlisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Bit off topic but- when does cradle cap go? 10. my husband is better at burping her than me too, but he can't take the crying so I get her back quick smart! Will go back to the GP, ask for infacol, drink mint and fennel tea, and see what happens. Thankfully she settles and sleeps while in the baby bjorn (makes me wonder about reflux too..) so am off to get my first born into bed and get some peace and quiet.
  11. Thanks all, I know it'll pass but doesn't make it any easier to deal with!
  12. ok thanks, will try it. thanks for the articles fuschia, will read them properly tonight but looks promising
  13. her poo is yellow, though there's not much of it, she goes every three days or so (unlike my first who was going every second nappy change!) She is growning fine, getting quite hefty actually...
  14. hmm a bit sporadically, perhaps i'll give it a bit longer to work.. might be a dumb question but how many times a day did you give it? it says before every feed but she eats small and often (could be due to wind or even the cause..?) don't want to overdose her!
  15. the doc said its colic but it isnt the same time everyday, nor is it every day, but it can go on for hours and there seems to be no clear pattern at all! i think it has to do with what i eat, and ive given up salad as it seemed to coincide with me eating that, but i dont know what else to do! have tried infacol, gripe water and windy pops, with limited success. i feel like i am spending so much time trying to help her that my two year old is getting a bit neglected, and my evenings are spent either tryng to calm her or sleeping while i can arrgh can anyone help?
  16. i am forever thinking morbid thoughts! my latest plan is to set up email accounts for each child and send emails, perhaps have a hard copy somewhere but in any case leave the password etc with my sister...
  17. There's not much you can do at this stage, as it tends to develop at around 28 weeks so you either have it or don't. Definitely look up the previous thread, as there is a lot of discussion about what you can and can't eat. I would also second doing as much exercise as you can, as it will really help with controlling blood sugar. Good luck :o)
  18. I'd look around and see what you find, we moved to Forest Hill a year ago only because my husband insisted we view a (rental) property which sounded too good to be true (massive garden with blackberries, two pear trees and at least five apple trees, plus lawn and other trees) We are right by the Horniman too and as someone posted above, we can get anywhere without too much trouble. Good luck with it all, moving is a stress at the best of times so I hope you find somewhere you are happy with!
  19. I got married on 06.07.08, luckily for me as I am the one most likely to forget the anniversary..
  20. definitely think that whoever came up with the name was paid too much for their time
  21. six children?? eight?!?! good grief, where do people find the energy??
  22. First was three and a half weeks early Second was six days early... Was also expecting the second one earlier and got impatient!
  23. Second the Albrighton centre, used to go but my little one is now too old!
  24. I would take the space. I was also looked after by the overflow midwfe at dmc, and agree that I received fabulous care from her, and would have loved to have her at the birth and for care afterwards, just for continuity! As it was I was looked after by the ward sister at Kings throughout my labour and delivery (no delivery suites available but i was 8cm when i arrived so they couldnt well turn me away!) and then different people for each post delivery visit. No problem with the care i received but would have been nice to have someone i knew!
