  1. Kids should stand up if an adult is standing - full stop, agreed. Not sure when this topped tbh.
  2. Salmon, rocket, lemons, wine, arborio rice. I never noticed turning middle class.

  4. SteveT Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Cracks in the ceilings and walls, doors not > fitting in the frames, floors not level. Not that simple, there can be other reasons for these things rather than subsidence eg new build not put together properly.
  5. Should be straightforward enough to track her down from what you say.

  9. I'm trying to find the link but Hodgson's first dozen or so games at Fulham had only 2 or 3 wins, then it all came together. Liverpool will be OK under him, then better than OK. And 'a couple'? Brilliant.
  10. Not been in here for a while but on the physical tackle thing, seems to me tackles are no more physical than they've been before it's just that football has more lightweight skilful tippy tappy players in it. So the question is why should the rest of the game have to adapt to them, rather than the other way round? And the de Jong witch hunt is ridiculous. It wasn't a foul. No one appealed at the time. Very very few ex players think it was a foul. And as for Newcastle writing to the FA that seems unbelievable to me. http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1344873_de_jong_furore_stinks Re Liverpool and 'Arry makes a good point - if Benitez had spent the money provided better... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1318433/Harry-Redknapp-Hicks-Gilletts-crime-giving-Rafa-Benitez-150m-squander-costly-flops.html so who's fault is it really?
  11. From what you say I can't see where he was lying? Someone trying to earn a living from the sound of it.
  12. I appreciate the moot point is that of whether use of the park is being kinda sneaked in although it does appear to me to have been answered. Having said that when I was a kid in Ashton Under Lyne our games lessons were often running and football in the park near school, with longer distances round the reservoir. Probably done and dusted elsewhere (point me where if you like) but what's the actual problem if the park is used? If they pay for use of an area then it's down to the council to assign part of that for the maintenance etc I guess.
  13. Counter Strike taught me all I need to know.
  14. I'm not sure why, but I just hunted out They Very Things, The Bushes Scream While My Daddy Prunes. Just like I remembered...As I recall the 12 had When Father Papered The Parlour on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VoesL6Aefo&feature=more_related

  17. She might be given 48 hours now, but as all her neighbours moved out eight years ago it seems she had notice of this a lot longer ago than that..

  19. As someone said, maybe it's just kids playing knock-a-door-run.
  20. Apparently getting them to work clearing the rocks from the bottom of the newly dug shaft is good for them psychologically, they feel involved rather than just completely passive. That and the Prozac their food is being laced with.

  23. A very reasonable and proportionate sentiment seano. The problem with the ease of communication forums like this engender is bad news can become the loudest voice and people start panicking, kudos for the common sense reaction. I'll look out for the bike.
  24. Old thread here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,354817,355200 gives a bit more info the society.
