  1. I nearly forgot! I feel crushed and devalued.
  2. Either that or to Barry direct, as opposed to via the forum.
  3. Adrian, I agree with you, defend the circus, but be open about who you are.
  4. Gentlemen, you can't reason in here, this is the Lounge!
  5. Huguenot speaks the truth - telly. NEXT!
  6. I drove through that junction for the first time in a while today and the exact same thought occurred to me. Perhaps if someone wants a memorial then it can be done properly with a small plaque or something but it's just a mess now.
  7. Why City won, they just wanted it more - City Chelsea 37 Tackles 20 83.8 Tackles Success 55 I was thinking this all game, it looked like we had been specifically practising tackles and then following up to get possession after the ball came out of the challenge.
  8. What a splendid day's football so far, particularly pleased for West Ham and West Brom. Blue Moon..
  9. Have you approached all the people you want to name and shame rather than just hoping they read this thread? That would seem more constructive to me.

Can't see them being beaten > enough times (if at all). I can see them being beaten next Saturday at Eastlands like last year. Like Sean says they've had a gift of a start, this'll be the first time they've played anyone in the league who isn't a bottom half or even relegation candidate.

  13. I'm always immediately suspicious of any low count recommendations and have been known to google whois etc to see if domain name owners are anything like user names, and I'm not shy of letting admin know. Having said that have you ever been asked to recommend a business by its owner? As such I try to avoid steaming in. If I was a small local business and had a happy customer I may well ask them to recommend me on here, and if that was a new user then it may well look suspicious. I might even let them use my computer to log in and create their account and now it's the same IP address so looks really dodgy. I might even make some suggestions as to what they should say and now it looks really really dodgy, even though they volunteered to recommend me. I guess I'm saying suspicion is natural but accusations can be harsh.

I had a bit of a Weatherall related morning, some Two Lone Swordsman, some Radioactive Man, his mix of Soon by My Bloody Valentine, some of his Fabric mix and a dose of Screamadelica.

  16. It's not often I agree with ITV commentators but I thought he hit it on the head when he pointed out that the players were all playing in essentially their club positions, and what a difference it makes. Who've Spurs got as their centre half pairing now? Gallas might turn out to be a good signing eh?
  17. Same reason I do at a guess. I have no signal inside. I leave it outside for a bit and get texts through.
  18. Just watched the England game and you have to say that was pretty good. Life's so much easier when Lampard's injured and we don't try to bodge them in at the same time. Dawson still looked a bit iffy until he got injured I thought, Jagielka did OK, Hart looks like he's always been there. 'Arry can't be happy though as that looks like a bad injury. And as a City fan I delighted we had four young ish players on the pitch.
  19. But what's the art like?
  20. Schools, hospitals etc have always tried to raise money through fetes, bring and buy sales or whatever. What's the issue here? That they're trying to raise funds or a guy with a high salary signed the letter? (And some are assuming that just because he's well paid he doesn't contribute.)
  21. Watching MOTD did I really hear Spurs fans booing when Wigan scored? Unbelievable. edit - And at full time?
  22. I'm still waiting for some kind of explanation of why the moths would only go for that bit of the t-shirt?
  23. What's the shopping like at the Whitechapel?
  24. PR - BT Tower will be open to the public as part of Openhouse London this year, there's a ballot for places. http://www.londonopenhouse.org/
