  5. I'm not sure Rio should even be an automatic pick to play, never mind captain.
  6. Maybe, just maybe, it's an absolutely correct figure and only 4 actually broke the law? Maximising an expenses claim isn't a criminal act.
  7. The police can't do anything about it despite chomping at the bit to do so? Or choose not to in a pragmatic and sensible response? Assuming you've got your facts right anyway of course. 3 edits so far.

  13. Coulson lives on Wood Vale, there was couple of reporters hanging around outside his house when this first came out.

Is this serious? I don't have a dog, and am a bit wary of them, but appreciate this thread in general has a constructive posts re dogs behaviour including one person posting they understand it can worry others if a dog runs toward them, and the original posting saying dog owners need to take responsibility. Then someone comes along and says "I ignore the rules".
  15. I think this is explained in About The Forum isn't it?

Bit early for a 9.30 arrival possibly... The thing to make sure you do is never ever ever get the slow train, even if it's accidental :'(. Rubbish ones like go through East Dulwich. Get the Bristol trains, the fast inter city ones.
  17. I used to do this reasonably frequently from Forest Hill. Train to London Bridge, Jubilee to Baker Street, very easy change to Bakerloo, three stops to Paddington. Then fast from Paddington takes twenty odd minutes iirc.

  19. I've seen things in shop windows in Lordship Lane.

Unless you go on forums which many people don't web use is mostly just clicks after all.

    Apple's iPad

Exclusive Sources in Cupertino have exclusively confirmed to the Reg that Apple intends to follow up its anticipated iPad success with a miniature, pocket-sized version boasting added voice technology. "The iPad's a great device," an executive familiar with the matter said yesterday. "But think how great it would be if you could carry it in your pocket. "And it's got a SIM card in it - which opens up an exciting prospect, that you'd be able to call people up on their actual phones." Our sources told us that Apple has done a lot of development work on the smaller, enhanced iPad, and that it is even now in the hands of a large beta-test community. "You may have met someone who's got their hands on the future of the iPad already," said an individual close to Cupertino. Solid reports are also reaching us that the secretive Californian techno-cult firm plans other futuristic iPad variants. It's thought that the company expects much of its future business to revolve around iPads of various sizes with clever combination keyboard/flip-cover units attached to one edge by a hinge. Speculation is already rife regarding the names of the new, pocket-sized voice iPad and the larger models with built-in keyboard and screen cover. Our secret reader poll in past weeks suggested that the likeliest names for the iPad would be the Fondle-Slab? or iStroke?. In the event those predictions turned out to be wrong, but we feel that Steve Jobs may not overlook such marketing gold in future. It seems a racing cert that legions of Apple fans will enjoy full satisfaction from their fondle-slabs and pocket stroker devices for many years to come. ? 23. To Sue - who's to blame isn't the point I don't think, and I can't help but think that's who's to blame retropsectively doesn't help a killed or injured person. If though a cyclist sees an accident somewhere they go and thinks "I should be a bit careful round there".., then job done.
  24. There was a certain amount of curling up. And lots of shivering, and jogging on the spot.
