  1. ::o SeanMacGabhann ::o (I feel like Dulwich Mum today ;-))
  2. Of course Keef, there would be a bottle of JD on the bar just for you. Mr Palaeologus there will NOT be a health spa. There would however be a really cool (free) juke box and Liverpool games would take precedent over whatever else is on. (Hmmm, perhaps I could have a quiet room.......)
  3. ::o Keef! ::o
  4. Apart from the obvious - (season ticket to Anfield) I'd treat all my mates and would probably set up a pub.
  5. tommy, I like beer and have sky sports (and Setanta) ;-)
  6. .
  7. Re: Friday 9 - November EDF drink at The Forest Hill Tavern Posted by: Michael Palaeologus Yesterday, 08:51PM "Health Spa" :( "Beers" >:D< ======================================== I agree. Boo!!! I should boycott the spa.
  8. Goo goo g'joob! Expert texpert chocking smokers, don't you think the joker laughs at you.
  9. I think that the thing is Atila, you are extremely quick to criticise and quote what other people are saying when doing so. I'm aware that this happens when people discuss football, however it tends to happen on talk sport and 606. I think that on the EDF we're all quite polite (mainly because we know one another ;-) ), so when someone comes in the way that you have it puts our backs up. I post quite frequently on the 606 and LFC forums and say exactly what I think, but still don't go all guns blazing. On here I'm a bit more reserved and don't reply straightaway - even when I disagree or when some thing p1sses me off. Besides, I can't wait to quote you all when United win the league (arggh! do you realise how difficult that was to type!!) and then I can revive these posts. P.S Keef I agree re' your comments about smugness. Lets wait 'til May. AND! as for Carragher......
  10. Can't make this one as I have to spend the day at a health spa with a friend for her birthday. I really cannot think of anything worse - I would rather have a beer!
  11. Didn't get to see the game yesterday as was away, I did however watch the last ten minutes just now. Shame we didn't play like that for the whole game. What was Kuyt playing at then? At least Arsenal and Manure only got a draw, no one is charging miles ahead.
  12. Gothenburg, Sweden. :))
  13. The problem is, I get distracted in the pub. And then I get drunk and it all goes down hill from there..... Safer and I remember more from home.
  14. [i thought we were trying to link the lyrics together so that they created some type of narrative. ] (That's not a song, I've ever heard of) I'm feeling supersonic, give me gin and tonic
  15. Our away form has been better than at home (sorry Keef I missed you)
  16. I note that so far everyone has Liverpool to lose. Hmmmm....
  17. and yellow roses scattered all around
  18. Haven't a clue, but I always go there before a gig and usually have such a good time beforehand, I don't remember much of the gig itself :-S. Very close by too, which is handy.
  19. Has to be the Canterbury Arms. A proper pub and they have Tayto crisps :)-D Ooooh! In this pic it looks like the CPT. (With scaffolding)
  20. Re: What is the least rewarding/most boring job you've had new Posted by: char1ie Today, 03:13PM Mr Wimpy. Kingston. 1988. Scaring small children on the street. Beaten up by teenagers in a Wimpy kids party. Horrible. Charlie ------------------------------------------------------------------ Wow - I lived in Kingston and was 8 then. Must have been one of those kids as I remember my Mum taking me. >:D< P.S I was probably one of the ones you scared, I would never have beaten you up. ;-)
  21. I'd like to reiterate that I wasn't saying that chaps shouldn't comment on this or have an opinion. I was just really surprised to see an all male response. Couldn't agree more *Bob*, what a horrible decision to have to make. I hope it's one I never have to deal with and that's probably why I sit firmly on the fence. Mockney - are you saying I'm not conscientous!? ;-)
  22. My favourite job is bar work. I love the banter and it's just like being out on the other side of the bar. Punters love it when you remember their drinks (I never remembered their names, but would never forget a drink). The best part though, unlike my current job, is when you go on holiday there aren't thirsty people waiting for you to come back. The state of my workload after a week out of the office leaves a lot to be desired.
  23. I didn't mean in that way, I was just surprised to see that only fellas had replied. Of course men have the right to an opinion on this matter. I would never disagree with that.
  24. It's interesting (and I'm assuming here) that all that have responded to this thread are male. I have not been in this situation and would not know how I would deal with it until I had to. I don't see how anybody can judge for or against a termination, without being in the position themselves. If any of my friends or family found themselves in that position I would support them, whatever their decision.
  25. People are strange....
