  1. Girl at the back... "If I swallow all these hats, will I look like that"
  2. I agree and would rather win the Prem, but having lost only one game in the league this season - we ain't doing too bad! Not sure why Rafa chose the set up that he did today, but I hope he gets it sorted for next week. (and the week after - particularly as I'm going to both the Chelsea and the Pompey games)
  3. So are you saying that they weren't? We've had a lot of them this season.
  4. Rafa has shown today that Tuesday's game was far more important than today's. He's not soft though and there are two sides to this. Agreed we have a squad strong enough to play on all fronts, BUT tuesday is a must win game. We can't afford to drop any points in the Prem, particularly at Reading. I'm sure though that if you had a choice (and be honest Keef), you can win one game or the other. Which would you chose? There have been some seriously dodgy decisions made this evening. Reading's "penalty" was not a pen. If that were the case, why was Carra' not booked. We had two pen shouts and both were waived off. That tackle on Vorononin was shocking and we should have had a free kick. All things that in my opinion would have influenced the game. I'd put money on the fact that if Reading had had a free kick rather than a pen, we'd have won comfortably. That said, we should have won - end of.
  5. Trust me, I would normally walk to London bridge and get the train. There were four of us and peer pressure decided we get a cab. I only normally use cabs when work are paying or if I've had a free night out.
  6. Tried to get a cab at 11.30 on Bishopsgate last night. There were four of us and I when I flagged the cab, he pulled over all smiles. I said East Dulwich please - his smile dropped and said "sorry love". When I reminded him that ED is within 12 miles and that I'd like his number, you should have seen the speed at which he drove off. I was not impressed - I did get his number though!

Hey Giggirl - Have you seen Rod Y Gab before? I've seen them a couple of times and they were excellent. Arctic Monkeys on Sunday night :)-D

    Great Gigs

Squeeze last night - In a nutshell "Brilliant!" Glen Tilbrook is such an entertainer and it was great to hear all the hits. They had a screen behind the band flashing images of South London all night. Kennedy's sausages appeared on a number of occassions :))
  11. Keef - would you mind making a few more predictions like that for the weekend ;-)
  12. Why not print off this thread and hand it to them?! They'll soon get the message then....
  13. Re: Dead people who posted on the forum Posted by: *Bob* Today, 01:13PM I still have the numbers of a couple of dead friends in my phone (one suicide, one 7/7 victim). I was going to delete them but when it came-up saying 'Delete Y/N' it seemed inconsiderate to press Y. Which is stupid, seeing as they're.. you know.. deleted. ================================================================================================== I do this *Bob*. Sadly my friend, Liliane was killed in a car accident last year. I called her husband after it happened, so to see how he was and pass on my condolences. He wasn't in so I left a message. I was a bit spooked when two hours later, her name came up on my phone. It didn't occurr to me in the first instance that I saved their home number under Liliane's name. :(
  14. I've noticed them - they never commented (well not that I've heard), but they do leer as you walk past. I always walk down with my housemate, so if I'm with her I ignore them. If I'm on my own I just smile and walk on by. They do quite obviously watch all the girls walk to the station.

  16. I need somebody......
  17. 21 goals in 5 games B)
  18. For example, I went to the Bishop for lunch today. I wasn't sure what to have so went for the Chilli (I'd heard on here that it's good - it was!). There also places that I avoid and others I make a point of going to, all because of what I read on here.... Scary how the internet can be so addictive ::o
  19. *Anna gratefully accepts bourbon from Keef and Jah Lush* *Thinks to self, "t'is a good job, you can handle your drink"* *Contemplates journey home on 176*
  20. *considers leaving room, as incense smell brings on nausea* *also considers g&t, but decides that Jack Daniels is actually "the answer"* Thanks anyway MP! *smiles sweetly at Brendan and wonders if there's any spare bourbon*
  21. *enters quiet room for first time* *hides under table in order to avoid the Boooring thread* It won't start in here too - will it?:-S
  22. I am feeling optimistic about our game. But, like you said Jah I don't want to tempt fate by putting it in writing! Keef - thanks for pointing that out. When I copy the list down, I put the previous scores as nil - nil, so I make my own decisions. Missed that one out...... Will amend it now :)
  23. These are my views, for what they are worth! Aston Villa 1 v Arsenal 0 Blackburn 1 v Newcastle 2 Chelsea 1 v West Ham 1 Portsmouth 2 v Everton 2 Reading 1 v Middlesbrough 1 Sunderland 2 v Derby 0 Wigan 1 v Man City 2 Liverpool # v Bolton # - No comment Tottenham 3 v Birmingham 2 Man Utd 3 v Fulham 0
  24. Most cabbies are fine. I do wonder what goes through their minds though, when they refuse to take a girl (who is by herself) home late at night. No wonder people resort to unlicensed cabs.
  25. I know, yet still I feel that it is my fault :'(
