  1. You know this thread will be full of double entendres by this time tomorrow? Conger eel - it's a bit boney.

I started to but had the footy on all afternoon and had things to do, so only watched the first 5-10 mins. Saw the highlights on SSN this morning and I'm gutted that I missed it. Would liket to see Atletico do well.
  3. Yeah I saw that. Thought it was a bit crap to be honest.
  4. What was the atmosphere like SandPerson? Sounded okay on the telly.

I've been to every game at Anfield this season with the exception of two and have heard the Rafa song on many occassions. The reason it was sang so much on Wednesday is because of all the shite that was in the press. I'd say 95% of our fans back the manager.
  6. Sometimes you're as a bad as a journo Matthew - why not paste the whole story, it reads slightly differently instead of going for the sensationalistic headline. Reads to me like Rafa wants to offer Kuyt, Agger and many other players new contracts but at the moment he is unable to do so as he needs to get the owners to agree. I back Rafa and would be gutted to see him go. Financially we are nowhere near United and that has a massive impact on things. Yes we've slipped up, but everyone has been poor this season. Team for team we match United (as was proved at Anfield this season), however when injuries are brought in to the melting pot our squad isn't a patch on theirs. United had a bad run early on in the season. Was anyone calling for Fergie's head then - please can you also remind what he won at his first 6 years at United? (SP this isn't a dig at you by the way, I'm just comparing). It pains me to say this, but Ferguson is clearly a good manager, however the time he's had at United has most definitely helped with his success. If Rafa were to go, it would be a massive step backwards for us as he is gradually building around some of the excellent players we have in our squad. Too much of our dirty washing is being done in public and that, like it or not - is not how we used to do things (the Liverpool way and all). The owners need to sort it out and get rid of all this unrest. Then I believe the teams heads will be in the right place to win the league. Again.
  7. Hmm, is that not a bit like the dog saying the cat had a hairy arse. ;-)
  8. Yeah it was shocking last week wasn't it? No one was up for it. Such a shame.
  9. Pft.... You'd have all been on here laughing if we'd lost. ;-) What an amazing night - the Bernabeu is a fantastic stadium. YOSSI, YOSSI YOSSI, YOSSI YOSSI..... :)-D
  10. The Kop at half time.
  11. I don't think that "with open arms" was the correct term. I'd hate to lose Rafa for Maureen but I'd accept it. Jose is a sore loser and his demeanour isn't always the Liverpool way.
  12. You reckon?!?
  13. What an incredibly nice thing to do gig girl. (tu)
  14. Be good and if you can't be good - take pictures. ;-)
  15. Hi Giggirl - I assume you mean tonight? I'd of loved to have gone but can't make tonight. (roundhouse is one of my favourite venues too)
  16. Can't really be arsed to get in to the whys are wherefores of whether or not it was a penalty etc, etc. Didn't see it and I imagine this is a debate that will make the new football focus get to 200 pages too. Surprised about slating El Zhar though as I think he's a smashing little player. Unfortunatley Liverpool FC doesn't have the bank balance of some the other premiership clubs, so we have to rely on finding little gems like him. Think we might have blown it today though. Still it's not over until its mathematically impossible.
  17. Must be a hard life being a united fan.
  18. Going to the Calderon on Tuesday night for the Atletico v Oporto match. My credit card provide must love me at the moment :-S
  19. Six mile bottom in Cambridgeshire.
  20. No just Atila Reincarnate.

  22. Yet another well thought out response. Would you like to discuss football or just sling mud red devil? Any predictions for tonight anybody?
  23. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > LFC = no backbone = no title (again) > > ''Matthew123 is cracking up, is cracking up...'' He he - great argument that. :-S When you say Gerard SP, do you mean Houllier? Because as a player I'd pick Keane over Gerard too. ;-)
  24. Bit disappointed to see on SSN this morning that Eduardo has done an exclusive with the scum. No doubt they've put their usual own spin on the story, but to chastise Taylor for not apologising (when he states that he has tried on several occassions) is a bit harsh in my opinion.
