Maiden castle well known but always fabulous for a walk esp early morning/evening (also great for a run). If you?re feeling adventurous there?s a barrow in a nearby field... The blue pool near wareham Preston beach east of Weymouth for a swim away from the Weymouth crowds or swim off the Nothe?

Flats being demolished in Solomons Passage SE15
hpsaucey replied to joymar's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Can't disagree with anything you've said. Seems to be part of a trend: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2018/jun/13/fury-affordable-homes-redeveloped-sold-housing-associations God know how its legal! Certainly seems morally defunct. Don't know whether there's been any insurance payoff yet - suspect will be years sorting out. HP -

As an ex-resident who had to leave because of the problems in 2017 I'm still interested in what happens to the site. partial refurb/rebuild - altered to total rebuild of all blocks - to the latest which is possible flogging of the site... Can't say this is a surprise. Update here: https://www.wandle.com/solomons-passage HP -

Got to agree! Took in a similar tabby last year. Bit less wary but similar state and def not looked after. If someone can would be lovely to see it checked over/ for microchip at vets. HP -

PE I think they do anyway, but can be taken as a GCSE option. Assume you've looked at the GCSE guide from their website: http://www.chartereastdulwich.org.uk/attachments/download.asp?file=1262&type=pdf

Brown bin collection - Council starting to charge?
hpsaucey replied to slarti b's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sorry if this has already been covered but have lost the plot (and the will to live). I put out my old food waste bin last week but it wasn't collected. I'm assuming it should have been and I don't need to order a new food waste bin (ridiculous). Am I right? Thanks in advance to whoever takes pity and replies... HP PS DulwichFox -small brown bins were being delivered around Surrey Road today. -
There?s also Bring Your Own in Nunhead which I know?s been mentioned on other threads. Go armed with clean bags and bottles or you can get them there. Including wine and make your own peanut butter! See here: https://bringyourownuk.com/ HP

About to put in a new fence in back garden. Using a picket fence partly for this reason - to give wildlife more freedom to move around. Have visiting foxes. Would be nice to get hedgehogs. HP

Brown bin collection - Council starting to charge?

You?re OK if you still have a bin. If you?re on bags like me and run out there currently doesn?t seem to be a way to get more. Going to try putting it out in alternative paper bag and see if it goes. -

Still nothing on the site about brown bags. I?m too pissed off to ring them as I can?t guarantee keeping my cool. Piss up and brewery... -

Suppose they?re all different. Put one on the stray we ended up adopting. Still there two weeks later. But then he?s not exactly active! Permanent ones on my other two cats last - as you say - minutes...

Hi Tom. You can also put a paper collar on the cat. Hopefully any owner would then contact you saying it?s theirs. Collars to print and really useful info here: https://www.cats.org.uk/help-and-advice/found-a-cat https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cpl+paper+collar&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari

See this from Shelter - might help: https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/repairs/landlord_and_tenant_responsibilities_for_repairs Lists what landlords are responsible for - whatever they might say in any contract ... -

Hi James - does the same go for the paper bag collections? When I looked online I couldn't see any more info about them (yet). Did they tell you what residents are meant to do during these 60 days? HP

Advice needed to contest unfair bill from landlord
hpsaucey replied to EastDulwichLove's topic in The Lounge
Hi - if you're renting shouldn't the boiler be the landlord's responsibility (and cost)? Assuming you the tenants have not caused he damage ... Landlord's responsibility to fix/ do service/ checks on it regularly. -

Was wondering who actually got residents fliers notifying them of the event/ discounted tickets offer? We were in the area for those last year but seen nothing this year. Cynically wondered if some places didn?t get them esp. given now seems it?s sold out! HP
