It benefits everybody' is not what I said (if that's aimed at me)and I wasn't judging its 'success' in the way you evidently subsequently did. All I said is that the whole community benefits - and explained what I meant above. I stand by that. The discussion about where its physically located/ nodes etc. and the 'success' criteria conversation around that came way after my comment about it being a good thing to have in the community. Separate conversation strand. HP -

Alright - I'll qualify - local families looking for schools most immediately; and more generally surely any new school is a community asset to be welcomed which is what I meant. Also as others have said on the whole an extra school should decrease pressure generally on local secondaries - unless its like Kingsdale with no distance criteria. Sorry for anyone in a 'black hole', But most of our local schools are bl**dy good. HP -

Worst local transport journeys
hpsaucey replied to Robert Poste's Child's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Whinge - 63 bus driver told to terminate and chuck everyone off in Peckham after an already bad delayed journey. Following 343 bus driver who wouldn't accept our follow on ticket along the same route portion despite the fact that I had two small kids and it was a bloody freezing cold night! Grumpy jobsworth. -
Hi John L summarises nicely. I?d also add that it also can cushion you against sudden mortgage rises as at least the rent increase is fairly predictable. H

Laudable aims and objectives - sadly where > do all these cats come from? Someone must be > breeding them. > > Out of order SE22cat - forum is for information > and debate not insults you twit. Whoops. Wasn?t trying to be preachy - just didn?t want Celia Hammond?s rationale to pass people by and loose them any votes. Sadly too many cats and dogs not neutered. Took a stray in our road - apparently abandoned by owners couple of years before. Not neutered! Took him to Celia Hammond who kindly did neutering and vaccinations for us. He?s a really loving cat. Another lovely cat near us apparently kept to breed kittens to sell. Bloody irresponsible and then others have to deal with the problem. Have three ex strays. Luckily none yet have shown signs of killing local wildlife larger than spiders although god knows what they really get up to outside. HP

Malumbu given you?re well informed about Celia Hammond then you must have seen the wall posters at the clinic educating people about neutering etc and that treatment for your cat there requires neutering. Here?s what their website says: ?The Trust's primary aim and objective is to humanely reduce the population of dogs and cats, both pedigree and mongrel, in the UK, by neutering. To qualify for treatment at our clinics your pet must be neutered or going to be neutered as soon as possible. Given your concerns about wildlife, which I?m sure most people share, I?d have had thought you?d think this a good thing. HP

What?s this for exactly - particular schools? No mention of needing them for general admissions on southwark?s site. Unless it?s changed in the few years (???) those pieces of ID were presented at the school after a conditional offer had been made. HP
