When I went to Nunhead library I was told they get them on Thursdays. Assuming it?s the same day for all libraries. They also said they go fast!! HP
  3. Thanks for posting. HP
  4. That makes sense then. Hooty ones near us and one tree hill. H cohen22 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The only owl that 'hoots' is a Tawny. All others > 'shriek' or 'cry'.
  5. One tree hill apparently tawny owls. Don?t know if any others. HP
  6. Hear them fairly often between Nunhead Cemetery and One Tree Hill. Always a treat. HP
  7. Err Angelina - looks like you?ve not read all the replies above?? Not sure why you wouldn?t think to do that 😝
  8. Thanks Goldilocks- you?re right. In case of use to anyone else- Admissions confirmed just the tick box of eadmissions. Suspect the Charter admissions info slightly confusingly laid out but relating to waiting list places later.. HP
  9. Hi there, Wondered if any current Charter ED parents might be able to help? My son's already there and I'm now applying for his brother to go. The current admissions policy says the following: Evidence of sibling already enrolled in the school: the family must provide evidence of the sibling?s identity and address with the application. Further evidence may be sought before an offer is made.' I rang the school office and they didn't seem to know anything about sending in proof of sibling WHEN you make the application online. Did anyone else submit proof of sibling status with the online Southwark form and, if so, what did you send through? Thanks in advance HP
  10. Attaching poster from a thread on another local forum. Cat needs a home urgently. Was abandoned and left on an estate which is currently being demolished. Contact details for the Cats Protection League trying to rehouse it on the attached poster if you can help/ share. HP
  11. I used diluted tea tree as a soaking solution couple of tea a week too. Between that and / or the freezy thing something worked.. HP
  12. Superdrug sell a freezy one too. Worked a treat on one son - reserving judgement on other.
  13. Thanks for posting - really lovely walks! HP

I am just asking that local > residents understand the full picture and review > the proposal thats all. Gotta agree about the danger on that corner. They are proposing using the parking bay nearest the junction for deliveries between 7 and 10 a.m. Sightlines for anyone crossing at that corner already bad with mainly short-term cars parking there. Can2't imagine a taller, wider delivery truck doing anything but making it MORE dangerous as well as adding to congestion during rush hour. Proposal also says all their refuse will be collected from there which means refuse trucks also using the bay. Apparently store refuse/ deliveries won't be out on the pavements, but given Co-op and Tesco behaviour locally in this regard pigs might fly! And its higher than surrounding buildings... as has already been said. And I love Barrys! Wouldn't want to see them outed by another chain store. HP
  15. Hi Renata, Thank you for keeping up with all the comments. On the whole playground looks as though its really being enjoyed! Hoping younger and older will, as they have in most other playgrounds, find ways to get along and use common sense and some respect for others. It's sad to find people trampling down the barriers put up within the playground to protect the grass/planting to sit down/have picnics. Can anything be done - notices etc? - to make them away of why its barriered off. Would have thought it would go without saying WHY they are barriered off but obviously not! HP
  16. You could put a paper collar (has a brief message about cat visiting on it and you add your phone number for contact) on and see if you get a call from owner? If not, assume lost/ check microchip etc... Available here: http://www.cats.org.uk/uploads/documents/COM_1032_Lost_and_found_collar_print_out_AW.pdf
  17. Thank you! Apparently this cat wanders... paper collar worked brilliantly in case anyone else needs them, available here: http://www.cats.org.uk/uploads/documents/COM_1032_Lost_and_found_collar_print_out_AW.pdf
  18. Apparently not necessarily unless whoever the owner is registers contact details. Put paper collar on cat. Got call to say returned home.
  19. Still on Surrey road. Microchipped but not registered. Still looking lost!
  20. Looking v lost on Surrey Road. Young, v friendly tabby cat - beautiful markings. Anyone recognise??
  21. Same issue. Would bulk collection take it? They have a category of ?sack of household waste? but bit unclear. HP

That walrus is brilliant! Thanks for posting.
  23. And a third for tim doidge. He and his mate worked v v hard and professionally to get rid of a mass of sycamore trees for me earlier this year. HP
  24. Hi Renata. Might have missed the info but assuming this work is being paid for by event organisers? Also hoping that it won?t use the time of the evidently reduced numbers of gardeners at PRP. HP
  25. No!!! Lovely guys. Also really sorry to see them go.
