  1. SeanMacGabhann: Just to clarify, I wasn't picking on you. You were the only poster who had solicited an opinion so I based mine entirely on your posts.
  2. The Chair: Thank you for illuminating an otherwise opaque issue. At one point Sean MacGabhann offered to delete all of his posts in this thread, which may have implied possession of Administrative privileges within the Drawing Room.

Also, it is considered bad form to claim private email support for ones stated view/position. Furthermore, a moderator's position could be compromised when s/he becomes a vociferous champion for one side of an argument, and, especially more so, when its proponents are personal friends or acquaintances. A moderator is supposed to maintain a detached objectivity ? I?m not sure one can have it both ways? The Drawing Room is a new environment for all of us. Whilst we have to work within practical limits, the rules of netiquette are well established and should be followed to the best of our abilities if this section is to serve its intended purpose: a place for serious debate.
  4. I don't know what to say. I've been laughing so much these last few days I think I've strained a testicle.
  5. Pity. I don't fancy my chances of getting him to send me one. I think I'll get one printed locally for the next drinks. What's printed on your one?
  6. bigbadwolf Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > She does the above with such patience ... You meant to say such a patient, surely?
  7. There's a t-shirt? Where do I get mine, then?
  8. Careful BBW - you don't want to go there. Believe me, I know.
  9. Phew! I do it all the time.
  10. Every time I have tried to end this thread in a friendly and amicable way - I've lost count how many attempts I've made - you always bounce back with an ever more bizarre escalation. I've come to the conclusion that your obsessive behaviour is theraputic at some level so I'm content to humour you until whatever demons are plaguing you are exhausted.
  11. Shhhh AnnaJ. I'm carrying out research on sociopathic obssessive compulsive disorder. There's enough material here for a text book!
  12. If you feel you must continue to make an arse of yourself, be my guest: knock yourself out kid.

  14. Look Huguenot,I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over. And tell your mummy to get you the help you clearly need - as soon as possible.
  15. SeanMacGabhann: Why are you deleting my posts to the Royal Mail Strike thread in the drawing room? My last post was on topic and raised a valid point:
  16. I am addressing a child-like mind - what do you expect?

OB: The postal service is so bad these days it is difficult to tell whether it's on strike or working normally.
  18. Do you mean that Big Willy that shagged you every-which-way over in the Drawing Room? So, what does that make you then? BWAHAHAHA!

Only logged in this evening - have I missed anything interesting?

I hedged that one too with the reference to (verbal) diarrhea, just got the wrong end, I guess? > If ubiquity is now a matter of context, then shall > I take that well-crafted oxymoron as a retreat on > your part? Context is everything. Yep, I'm done - we have well and truly flogged this horse to death! You've been a worthy and intelligent adversary (you'd benefit from a logic refresher, though :) ) No hard feelings I hope?
  22. Got it - thanks.

Sorry HAL9000 but I don't get it.::o Ugent > clarification required please.;-) As you were, I've just realised that BBW (the Forum's pet dog) isn't allowed to post in this section, which is such a shame, as I gather he also LOVES looking at pussy fotos. Still, it's not fair to talk about him in here as he can't reply, poor thing.

'dbo' sometimes means 'data base owner' or 'data base + (another word beginning with 'o' - like operator, etc.)' 'LW' could be someone's initials and '51' their year of birth. Best guess: a database access password?
