  1. Any idea why The Flying Fish became Fladda? Was it sold?
  2. 1) Volumes have come down massively. There seem to be fewer properties in the market compared to, say, 3 years ago, and it tends to take longer to sell. - Not sure about that, but agree selling is taking longer, however a one bed flat opposite and house across the road both have been sold, the flat in some 3 weeks and house in about 3 months. 2) More and more price reductions, which were almost unheard of 3-4 years ago - Absolutely true, you can blame the estate agents for over valuing properties, resulting in the current spate of price reductions. Plus agents not marketing effectively to get viewings and ultimately a sale. 3) More and more properties end up not being sold at all. I also wonder if sometimes agents report them as sold when, in fact, it?s not true. I checked the land registry for some properties I had my eyes on, and they have not been sold, even though the price was reduced multiple times. - Properties tend that have not sold either stay on the market till a buyer eventually pitches up or the vendor switches agents to keep the property fresh. However a property is only worth what someone is willing to pay, so prices may I fear have to drop still further. In this context, it seems odd that in the new development near the gym of Goose Green / Crystal Palace road (the ?Tribeca? ? - SE23 3AP a one bed flat was on at ?330K and has been sold quickly. Hope this helps.
  3. Is that Arsenal, Man United or Liverpool FC?
  4. Nice to see you back today
  5. Any party in Government wants to stay in power and will only concede defeat to the opposition party when absolutely necessary. May will hold on for as long as she can, but her days are numbered, DUP will make sure of that, that when the time suits them the rug will be torn from under May's feet.
  6. Oh here we we go again, Last week you cited WW1 graves, this week it's returned to supposed discriminatory burial. This discussion continues to go around in circles. If it's not one route it's the other you purport to support. Your arguments are stale and have no basis. I could even go as far to say you're fake. The council have again granted permission to proceed with their works, how many people supported you last week at the council, was the place packed to the rafters? You don't even seem to be able to interpret a map. Very sad.

  8. Fish and chips on a Monday, never a good idea, think how long they've had the fish, unless it was frozen?
  9. Joking about 100 people burning to death in West London and inciting religious hatred. You're the scum of the earth. Please don't tell Blanche and her side kick they deserve each other, that's enough to turn everyone's stomach in east dulwich and the surrounding area.
  10. There was an incident last night with an ambulance and police car in attendance opposite the cinema on LL probably about 9pm. can't remember the precise time/

  12. Would have thought whoever authorised the works (without checking the materials to be used or whoever signed off teh cheaper option) and subsequently whoever signed of the works as complete is likely to be looking at a long stretch, hopefully life for mass manslaughter/murder. All those who were complicit for this need to be identified, brought to trial, sentenced and jailed, with no opportunity for parole, ever. Those who perished in this dreadful fire suffered so much and had no escape from the flames. They should have published a list for the relatives of all those admitted to hospital. It is intensely worrying that three days after the fire, the authorities still can only estimate the number who perished, but I suspect this because the authorities are unable to identify some of those who perished as the heat was so intense (reported 700 - 1000 degrees C) the bodies probably were cremated in the fire (my speculation). I hope those who perished can rest in peace and the relatives get the justice they rightly deserve. But looking at other cases like Hillsborough and the Bradford fire, I fear it will take years before justice is served unless MP's councillors, The Mayor and Government press for fast track justice. If the relatives do not see action happening and fast, like first thing Monday morning when council offices reopen, I fear a riot will eventually result. The new MP for K&C made comment that no Emergency Planning personnel exist at K&C. I find this hard to belief as all boroughs have EPO's, or at least used to have. If K&C do not have a team of EPO's this could explain the inability of K&C to act fast enough following the fire, but in no way is this acceptable. The Executive team and their staff should have got their sleeves rolled up and stuck into leading, managing, assisting and organising with the organisation of services immediately after the fire.
  13. Glad to see you're still reading this Lewis, looks like your feathers have been well and truly ruffled. Job done. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DCYAX6SWsAA4IJe.jpg:large

  15. Blanche, suggest you explain to Lewis how democracy works and not to shout at the Planning Officers and only speak when he is spoken to, otherwise he'll be ejected. I'd hate to see in tomorrows press, Comic terminated by Council!!!
  16. Blanche Cameron Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > OddlyCurious > > Local people don?t want trees cut down, graves dug > up, memorials destroyed, and burial plots in and > amongst the graves of others just to keep burial > for only some residents in the borough. That is > why we are calling on new burial to stop and the > cemeteries to be made nature reserves. > Blanche, can I remind you that you do not speak for everyone, and for those that you purport to, I further suggest you have used mis-information to sell them your version of events, It is clear that mis-information is your way of approaching this. Continually you have been exposed here for this. You go on to say that your aim is to slow down the works. You want to cause chaos at any cost. I suggest you wait and see what happens tonight, then come back and report how Southwark beat you and how unfair that feels. Really don't waste any more of your time, because it will be formally approved following the councils own recommendation to approve it.
  17. If I had the inclination to search through all of Blanche's posts on here (but I've better things to do), I'm sure I'd find the place she said they wanted no more burials in either cemetery.
  18. Blanche, "We have never campaigned against the provision of burial and we never will". You have previously stated that you want all burials to cease in Camberwell Old and New Cemeteries. So you are either contradicting yourself or just blatantly do not tell the truth. Oh, almost forgot to say, can't wait till tomorrow when the Council grant permission and proceed with their plans, leaving you well, no where to go.
  19. Similar argument developing on SE23.com https://www.se23.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12400&page=5
  20. Wait till TfL remove all the lower deck seats and it becomes standing only. Shane the leg room on the new buses is so limited, perhaps that's also part of the plan to get more people standing.
  21. So having lost the branch on the Old Kentr Road about 18 months ago, we now lose the Peckham branch, bad news for people in and around Peckham, nearest other branches are now either Brixton or Lewisham. 22. Dear, Many thanks indeed for letting me know of a message posted on the East Dulwich forum regarding our Lordship Lane store. This incident is very serious indeed and I've just been discussing it in detail with our Lordship Lane store manager. Our Lordship Lane store manager tells me that the fridges containing meat in this store did break down on the evening of Saturday 11 June and that, as soon as he became aware of this, he instructed all our Lordship Lane store staff not to sell any of the meat from the chillers to any customers and to dispose of it all as quickly as possible. I told the manager this was at odds with what had been stated on the forum. The manager stated that, to his knowledge, none of the meat from the broken down chillers was sold to any customer and that it was all disposed of as soon as possible after he became aware of the breakdown. The store manager tells me that the meat fridges are now repaired and working as they should. Many thanks indeed for bringing this most serious incident to my attention. Kind regards, John Robinson Customer Careline ref:_00D20CmM6._50020pasbb:ref
  23. Have highlighted the issues to my contact at the Coop.
  24. Thanks, useful to know.
