  1. The leaves start turning yellow and red and start to drop from the trees as do the concors, then you now autumn is on the way.
  2. yeah those pesky unwanted pizza leaflets that keep on coming through the letter box, no I don't eat takeaway pizza ever, latest assault are tree surgeons pushing their leaflets through. I dread to think how much paper, ink and power is wasted producing this junk that literally go's in the bin as soon as it lands on the mat.
  3. Putting the dogs out in the garden first thing and them barking when it's still too early to get up. Arghhhhh!!
  4. So how many GCSE's did Hetty get?? Who cares, because clearly she can't spell either based on the image in question, perhaps bunking off school wasn't such a good idea then Hetty? Is Hetty an artist, more like minging abstract images, you decide?? http://www.hettydouglas.com/good-luck#7 And she's taken down her Instagram page, well their's a surprise, not.
  5. Will you be selling Polish bread and cakes by any chance??
  6. And probably slightly more expensive
  7. IMO, the UK's undiscovered country is Northumberland, absolutely gorgeous.
  8. More EU interference, can see why people wanted out, whether that was right or wrong, we're feeling the consequences now. In Europe they think the UK is mad to be leaving.
  9. Try a long ladder to climb up and get it. good luck.
  10. Bureau de change in the country you are travelling too, you are more likely to get a much better exchange rate there than here, its the same with some euro notes that cannot be exchanged here for lower domination notes, but in Europe it's not even an issue.
  11. I can understand and fully appreciate your annoyance at a loud and late night party, anyone affected would be equally annoyed, we all have probably experienced a similar event and been equally annoyed, however taking out your frustrations on the forum and those who run it is unwarranted. Admin can I suggest "locking" this thread, which will put a stop to it finally. The poster said "Useless site with useless admin. What's the use of this site if your going to silence your users over something verified by other people?" Firstly - No, it's a great local asset that keeps people informed of things that are, have or will be happening. Secondly - IMO Admin works hard to moderate this forum, it keeps an "aerial" view of the forum and only intercedes when necessary.

  13. Many suggestions have been made on ways in which help can be got and people have tried meeting with you. As I have previously explained I feel for you having had a similar loss, However you may find that people on this forum do not feel capable of meeting and discussing bereavement as it may well bring back their own pain that they have worked through themselves. I hope you can see that, please try some of the groups that have been mentioned to help you move on or seek professional help initially through your GP. Delaying this will only further extend the period you grieve for. Everyone copes with bereavement in different ways, if as you say you are finding it hard to cope and boy it can be really hard, then please seek some of the help mentioned earlier in this thread so you can try to move on and get your life back together, if you don't the pain will only continue to eat away inside and ultimately make you ill.
  14. I suspect these "squatters" are self employed people who go to "work" in coffee shops because it beats the boredom of working from home. Probably in the coffee shop they get to see things going on locally, now don't get me wrong, as a former self employed person, I'd have found it difficult to concentrate in a coffee shop environment, but each to their own. An alternative was offered to these squatters, but it costs more than using coffee shop hospitality. rbarton Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > For those "squatters" out there, by all means come > and squat over at my establishment: > http://www.creativedesksltd.com this has been > built for you! > > http://www.creativedesksltd.com/images/49-Consort- > Road---01.jpg
  15. This is about the best use if funds or in this case the council wasting money when cheaper alternatives are available. ?722,659 is a sizeable amount that they have wasted and a councillor has had guts to challenge and highlight this wastage. These councillors were elected by the residents in the borough, they need to be accountable for the decisions and actions they take, this includes wasting funds that could have been better used elsewhere. Agreed central govt have cut finding, but this is local politicians making decisions about income from council tax payers. All I'm saying is that it is an inappropriate use if funds.
  16. So can we focus back on the topic and hold the council to account for this abominable waste of council tax payers money. I think as Cllr Barber has highlighted this he could work with other councillors to hold the Officers in the council to account for wasting council tax money, especially when the council are so happy and keen to cut services on the basis of austerity. Perhaps Cllr. Barber may want to start by raising the points made so eloquently by Penguin 68 and reporting back to this forum on the answers he has got from those in control of the council. Just think what alternatives the ?722,659 could have been used to pay for, the mind boggles at where this money could have been more efficiently used.

    Crap London

    Send them to Hampton Court
  18. Seems the P13 is not running on Underhill Road and Whateley Road today, anyone know why and how long the diversion will be in place for? Means getting to LL is taking much longer.
  19. Natty, I know it is hard dealing with bereavement especially when it is a parent. Nothing will ever bring back your mum but as time goes by it will slowly become easier to cope with the loss and adjust to a different life without her, but you have memories of her to help you remember her. You do not say if she was buried or cremated, in either case you may find it helps by visiting the cemetery or crematorium memorial gardens to remember her. If you want to meet other people like you who have had a bereavement of a parent, one of the groups mentioned in this thread may be a way of helping you cope and move forward with your grief. It is really really hard for people who have had a bereavement to talk with others who have also suffered a bereavement as it can bring back to the pain of loss they have had and moved on from. Can I ask how long it is since your loss? Hope this has helped.

  21. Thought that door to door energy sales people had been one of the things the Govt had put a stop to, so surprised people are out doing it.

    BBC Pay

Does anyone deserve to earn more than say, the Prime Minister. the answer IMO is no. And as I said in an earlier post we are talking about the use of public money. How can these people justify such high wages plus who actually sets and agrees these wages. They clearly need to take responsibility and be accountable for the decisions they made about spending License payers money on such astronomical wages. Wha's more these are generally part time jobs, it's not as if they do them all day every day. In the case of Chris good heEvans, it is not like he broadcasts every day for 8hrs a day.
  23. If you haven't realised, we're in the UK not the USA Where you say fall do you actually mean FOOL?

    BBC Pay

This is public money being used to pay astronomical salaries, some do very nicely and have no idea of reality based on what they earn and must be spending. If these so called "stars" were not as greedy, perhaps the money the beeb gets from license payers would go a whole lot further and services like BBBC 3 would not have been closed. For Evans it takes over 157,000 licence payers just to pay his wages. Is he really worth that, to be honest NO and neither are most on the list of names in an earlier post. And that is he before those that also have their own production companies. I suspect what they actually pocket themselves is way above the figures quoted by the beeb. Bet lots of those on top pay will be keeping a very low profile.
