Zero interest in sport and was very negative about traffic, visitors etc. Then bam...the spectacle, the drama, the nobility of the human form in flight....fell for the whole thing like a moone-eyed love-addled teenager. London has never seemed so fair of countenance , majestic of bearing or gentle of nature. Loved it. Didnt think I would...but loved it.

One of the big reasons I moved from my previous abode was the hideous caterwauling from the kids next door at 0600 every freaking morning - including my sacrosanct weekends. Lovely kids, but jeeez.... -

Won't someone think of the children. -
Doesn't matter if the wall is not over-sturdy. It's the old eggshell skull principle. If your negligence causes damage you cannot then assert that its the victim's fault for being unusually vulnerable. You take your victim as you find them. Get the buggers to do the repairs.

Perhaps scoped out for mugging by cycling teenagers?

Please inform police. It may not lead to anything but that's not the point. They need to be aware that this has happened. -

I always thought jerk seasoning as some sort of well,...seasoning... rather than a sauce. Am I wrong?

No chips here Jeremy. A little difficult to follow your train of thought. And furthermore, I don't believe we've been introduced. -

You're missing the point DJKQ. The council doesn't need evidence to instal humps or any other "traffic calming" measures. Just a whim will do.

Strange bottles full of orange liquid
northlondoner replied to tarafitness's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Came across council guy clearing up a nest of bottles just near crawthew. Said they were definitely piss containers - taxi drivers main suspects. Said council would welcome information on any cars seen dumping bottles. -

Seems important to mention race on here when the miscreant is black . Just asking, like. -
FFS this again? First of all , this is a despicable attack and the thugs who did it need to be caught and punished. For all our sakes. Secondly everyone here hopes the lady is ok . Thirdly , well done Atticus for helping - we need more folk like him, willing to get stuck in. The basic point re racial descriptions is an evidentiary one. I'm probably past the point of being described as a "black youth" but a few years ago it would have applied to me and any number of my friends. I don't think it's "crying racism " to point out that a more detailed description of events like this - no matter the ethnicity of the perp - helps aid detection. Obviously such detailed descriptions might not always be possible - in which case the mention of race will only be of very limited value. Atticus here made a genuine attempt to provide as full a description as he could I think and should not be faulted. Jimmyay on the other hand.... I'd be interested to know the source of your statistics. Otherwise it would be easy to see how you could be accused of intellectual lazy , dickish and inflammatory posting. Paulsimon....lefties ? Seriously ? Is that even a thing these days?

FFS this again? First of all this is a despicable attack and the perps need to be caught. Fast. Hope the lady is ok. And well done Atticus for acting as he did - we need more like him. No one is saying don't mention the race of a perp. It's just that it needs to be part of a general description if it's going to be useful - otherwise " black youth " could apply to me ( ok, ok a few years ago ... but you take the point) . Atticus I think made an attempt at a fuller description and don't think can be faulted. Jimmyay on the other hand.... I'd be interested to hear the source of your statistics. Otherwise you could be mistaken for some kind of intellectually lazy, mischief making dick. Paulsimon - lefties ? Seriously? Is that even a thing these days?
