  1. An explanation is written above the map... Suppressed rates: MSOA level rates are suppressed where there have been fewer than 3 cases in a seven-day period. This is to protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure.

Good if children around obviously. Your Combi may have a max temp for heating the water, which can be adjusted, your user manual should tell if you have this facility and how to change it if it's been set too low for your tastes...

Hotels have them, stops people from accidentally scalding themselves, I thought most have an override facility, e.g. press a button to turn the valve more to get hotter water, and when the valve is switched off the safety button re-engages...

  8. The only downside of a Combi I can think of is when using a shower and someone else runs a tap, say in the kitchen or even if a washing machine or dishwasher draws some water, you then get a sudden drop in pressure and water temp drops. As KK says, not ideal for a busy, multi-bathroom house but good for flats or small occupancy houses...
  9. I once had a pop-up waste mechanism that snapped inside the plug hole due to limescale build-up, that was after about 10 years though. I don't bother with cleaning the pipes for limescale, but Viakal is good for visible limescale marks i.e. around the plug hole. Some of the Viakal will run down into the waste so I presume it will help to break down any limescale deposits in the pipework, but if you want a proper clean of your waste pipe you may be better with one of the HG products which Dulwich DIY sells, I bought one for blockages, there was a pongy smell coming up the kitchen sink waste every time the washing machine was used, an overnight soak of that cured the problem...
  10. I saw it on a Twitter feed, I see the Guardian are reporting it, it's not been confirmed by Twitter, but the same guy got into Trump's account in 2016, I'm guessing then the password was MAGA2016...:) https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/22/trump-twitter-hacked-dutch-researcher-password
  11. I'd expect to pay something, there aren't many things you can buy with a 3-year guarantee, there's also a good chance the leak is due to limescale build-up...
  12. A Dutch journalist got into his Twitter account by guessing the password was MAGA2020... :)

  14. Exactly BB, it's the predictability of Brexit that makes it more unique than all those events cited above. Life, as well as politics, is full of ifs, buts, maybes, and sliding doors moments, but from the beginning Brexit was always a right-wing, nationalist, power grab project, so no one should be surprised we've ended up with a right-wing, nationalist, power grab Gov...
  15. Thanks for the heads-up...
  16. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. As he lay prostate on a hotel bed in front of an actress pretending to be a 15yo girl. Rudy Giuliani obviously a fan of Little Britain Stateside...:)

Whether you could be bothered to vote for Brexit or not on the day, your pro-Brexit views are clear, and therefore my point still stands. Without Brexit there would be no Johnson Gov. You might want to separate Brexit from this Gov and it's actions and ethics to soothe your conscience, but the two are intrinsically entwined. We literally have a Vote Leave Gov...
  18. Just as well you're already the keeper of the Coup de Mis?re LadyG, saves having to take it to the engravers... ;-)

  20. Afraid not, judging by all the pro-Brexit comments J&B has posted over the years... ETA: Actually, J&B is being sarcastic, but I just find it a bit rich, sarcastic or otherwise, a Brexiter bemoaning a Brexiter PM and Gov...
  21. Jules-and-Boo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I hope everyone who voted for Boris is happy What did you expect when you voted for Brexit, that we'd end up with some cuddly, cutesy centrist Gov?...
  22. So the midday deadline has passed... I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Greater Manchester :) #republikofmancunia
  23. As well as citing the economic factors of Covid and Brexit for their downgrading, Moody's also cited ''the weakening in the UK's institutions and governance'', i.e. a weakening of UK democracy. This Gov doesn't seem to realise that the rest of the world watches on as we willingly self-harm over Brexit, it didn't go unnoticed that this Gov stuck two-fingers up to democracy by unlawfully shutting down Parliament, and is now showing blatant contempt for international law with the Internal Markets Bill. Words and actions have consequences as we will find out a lot more come January...
