  1. Hello JamesG, I have just looked you up (sorry - couldn't resist). You have been here since time immemorial and yet have only posted 168 times? How in the name of Admin. have you managed to remain so restrained over the years? Please - share your secret. I could learn from you.
  2. Sorry Admin - pea brain elsewhere today. Please feel free to remove this rubbish masquerading as a post. Thanks.
  3. How could he! (Rooney) *massive sob*
  4. :-$
  5. I am no expert by any means, but I don't believe that it is possible to completely eradicate the fact that you have posted. You may, however, delete the content of a post by: - clicking on "edit post" - deleting/editing in the usual manner - clicking on "save changes" - crossing your fingers and hoping for the best in that order.
  6. 400 Top Tip @ Mr. Quids: Always nap with one eye open PS: where are you?:(

Thankfully we are all different, and this is conducive to a diverse and interesting forum. And that's how it should be (in my not so humble opinion).
  9. You cannot have read it that quickly LOL!
  10. 5,200 *waves MUFC scarf at Mr. Quids*
  11. Another interesting paper - entitled Increasing university income from home and overseas students: what impact for social mobility? Essentially, this document examines the implications which (a) increasing fees in respect of UK/EU undergraduate students and (b) raising the intake of non-EU students, might have for underprivileged home students within our higher education system.
  12. 100 (Just for you, Quids:)))
  13. And yesterday they shoved a "recorded delivery" letter through my letter-box without knocking to obtain my signature - tut tut Royal Mail. PS: hi Alex K x
  14. karter Wrote: ----------------------------------------------------- > :)) Shouldn't leave trolleys hanging around then > should you Lm. Ah but karter, it's just that one wouldn't be able to get past otherwise. I mean, all those shoppers aimlessly pushing their trolleys at a snail's pace and generally faffing about.:))

Hmmmm...I believe I have 3 tins of dog food, some biscuits and a squeaky ball which I believe might belong to you?
  16. "Binning" a human being? Crikey. Can vocabulary get more contemptible and degrading than that?
  17. "Non-essential" education schemes face cuts to fund premium for poor pupils Given the importance of education and equality of opportunity, I think this is a good idea in principle. Not sure how much thought has gone into the proposal though. Would also be interested in seeing what constitutes "non essential" schemes.
  18. waynetta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What robot has been banned from the forum? *huge weary sigh* No robot has been banned... I should, ideally, delete that last line (it's merely an aside), but then your post would look most peculiar waynetta... *further sigh*
  19. Until 10 minutes ago, I would have opined: probably not. However, having read this article, I am no longer certain. So, given that human beings themselves possess differing views on what to base ethical principles and on how those principles should be applied, could robots be programmed to make moral decisions? Incidentally, it is the antics of a (now banned) forumite that have given rise to this cogitation!
  20. No! you don't even like football!
  21. Don't you "dear Lady" me...you damn tease!
  22. HAL9000 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There are always lots of clowns ? one can always > rely on that. Yeah but you haven't attended for ages...
  23. HAL9000 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You all know who you are. Don't be such a tease! How would one know if one were "only grudgingly accepted [a member] of this community"?
  24. Two what? And don't worry I won't.
