The impertinence! Rule 42.2© indeed! ;-) just in case

  4. What may be invalid Mick Mac? My banking of the 800 or The (pretend) Queen's 2nd birthday? I am hoping the latter!

Respect for...erm...Laddy:-S Muck!!!! Tongue fully recovered today. Oh and as for Dita's...ahem...(*coughs*)...dance...well, that was an artistic feat the like of which my eyes had never seen before...I feel quite, quite privileged. Nearly coughed my own lungs up with laughter! The lady is blessed with enormous talent - of that there can be no doubt. As for you pole-dancing on your crutch, Queenie - that I've got to see LOL!

    Pub Crawl

Yes, but didn't you drink half a bottle of the stuff LOL?
  11. I've never come across it before. On re-reading it, it strikes me as quite enchanting. Moreover, I believe I (inadvertently) fulfilled the advice contained within it via my subsequent post. As delightful as the quote is, I still don't understand how it fits in with "pedantry" though. But no matter, the words are truly inspirational. And...ahem...tongue is recovering - thank you.:-$ *smiles and waves back at expat*
  12. I don't understand your post expat, but it's really nice to see you posting again.

DJKillaQueen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You don't drink sambucca when you are out with the > footy gals *bursts out laughing* You are right! I am off cider at the moment. Started off tonight's pub crawl with Cahlua - lovely sweet toffee like coffee flavour. The final pub (Montepelier) didn't stock it and I fancied something sweet, so ordered Sambuca because it tastes of aniseed balls. Nearly blew my head off - but delicious. Drank it slowly by dipping my tongue into glass for a few seconds at regular intervals. Result = numb tongue LOL! See you soon for a Sambuca (or two)! x

    Pub Crawl

Pub crawl suggestion...as tried and tested this evening with a couple of friends. Started at The Vale - pleasantly surprised. I asked a man (who said he was the owner) about this Whetherspoon thing and he said it was "all a load of crap". Make of that what you will. But nice and cosy sitting next to the real fire. Then we moved on to...oh gawd...where was it? Was it Hoopers? Yes, I think it was Hoopers. Not my favourite - a bit too quiet...and decor a bit old fashioned for me...a nice old man's pub...lots of old men reading their papers in silence. But I was sold by the TV showing Man. U playing Wolverhampton. One of my friends said it was her favourite of the evening...so it's all very subjective. Then the Victoria Inn. One of Scott's bars. Prefer it to the Actress...less noisy and a bit more comfortable. Certainly not as crowded. Finally the Montpelier...I can't remember anything about that one. Oh yes...a kind of cross between the Actress and another pub but I can't remember which right at the minute. My tongue is numb - that last Sambuca was over the top.
  15. Shouldn't that be nun of your business?
  16. W'ell d'ont reed it's than.:))
  17. Another riddim in memory of Gregory: Rumours (Rumours Riddim) RIP.
  18. Well, when we got married we had little dosh to spare. Plus my bigoted/racist father didn't approve of my potential husband and told the remainder of my family that if any of them attended that he would leave. So, we simply booked Brixton Registry Office, took half a day off work and attended with the two legally required witnesses. Then we went back to work. No fuss. No party. No honeymoon. No photos either. If I recall, the whole event cost us ?30! But, getting married is the best/most sensible thing I have ever done in my life. And to be honest, apart from perhaps having no photos, I don't regret going without all the trimmings. Saved us a packet, and prevented us from getting into debt. Do what the hell you fancy! And good luck to the two of you.
  19. In memory of Gregory Isaacs who died this morning after a long battle with cancer: (a classic) Thanks for letting us know on the other thread - Jah.

LOL!!!! You never fail to disappoint HAL9000. But...ahem...what time doth thou call this? The other pedants arrived hours ago. I am guessing you are going to tell me that you have just travelled some googolplex lightyears to get here. Hmmmm...
  24. PS: 100 In respect of the above post.
