  1. I called them and they said they don’t have a delivery driver and to use Deliveroo. Could not find them there. Odd.
  2. Thanks for the comment. There are some online reviews from people who ate in and they were all good.
  3. I’ve just noticed the Tofu East Asian Canteen in Forest Hill. Anyone tried it?
  4. It’s quite far from the shops.
  5. Your dog does not need more jabs. No boosters are needed, despite what the vet says. It’s solely to make money. The Lepto jabs are especially dangerous. Would never give any Lepto vax now. Vets now also want to give kennel cough jabs which are also unnecessary. There are too many strains to vaccinate against. Medivet used to offer titre tests to show immunity for around £50 but now charge over well over£200 as they realised that they would lose income from the annual booster scam when tutting shows lifelong immunity. Some dogs are non responders and so no matter how many times they are jabbed, they will never respond. Cats don’t need annual jabs either. Many vet nurses I’ve spoken to give the kitten vaccinations and then no more. Look out for the Complete Book of Cat And Dog Health by holistic veterinarian Lise Hansen. She has clinics in Denmark and London. She is also qualified in alternative treatments.
  6. What are they able to do? Did you complain to the practice manager? Are you still registered there?
  7. Are the prices similar to the £165 quoted above for a Saturday afternoon? Would be interested to know what a late night charge would be. I presume that TNV advise that emergencies go to Camberwell unless they advise the emergency vet in Beckenham - if it’s still there. I have used that one and also the vet in Elizabeth Street in Victoria for emergencies.
  8. Has anyone tried the 24 hour Medivet in Kenbury Street, Camberwell? Was previously a non chain called The Animal Hospital and owned by a vet called David Cuffe who had a branch in Abbeville Road in Clapham. Don’t know if he still works there. Medivet has also taken over the Clapham branch.
  9. Today, 22 February 2024, before 8 am, there was a notification on the Tessa Jowell GP Surgery website that the askmygp system was closed as there weren’t any appointments available for today. I thought they only opened at 8 am. Said it would open at 8 am the following day.
  10. That’s shocking. You should ask for a refund.
  11. What is leaking? Is it an appliance or a pipe or meter? Is there something in writing from the Gas Board? Has the landlord been notified? I’d call the local council and speak to someone there.
  12. Wow, that’s a lot. What was the price before?
  13. I’d call Celia Hammond for advice. He might be a stray/feral and they could trap, neuter and release.
  14. Scruffy Mummy, so glad to hear that you finally got an appointment. If you can bear to, make a complaint about what happened previously with the practice manager. Do you and your husband listen to the Movers and Shakers podcast related to Parkinsons?
  15. Wonder why there’s a shortage of GPs. Is it illness or maybe they don’t want to pay the cost of getting in a locum. Locums can earn circa £100 ph for a day’s work. There is an online advert with a company called Dream Medical for a locum GP for a 12 month rota close to ‘Dulwich’ station paying £80 ph. It also says they pay travel and accommodation costs. Sounds like it might be Tessa Jowell. Could someone find it and post the advert on here, for some reason I can’t do it at the moment. I typed in Locum GP Dulwich London and that came up. It seems like the NHS has a separate list for locum GPs. Did anyone else see this posted a couple of days ago regarding A&E at Lewisham Hospital. Grim.
  16. I was referring to pedestrians needing to be fearful of being robbed by youths on bikes.
  17. I guess the bread they have that day is going to have the previous days date on it as the store wouldn’t be able to sell it the day after, The Lordship Lane M&S used to yellow sticker their freshly baked bread at the end of the day.
  18. What a way to have to live.
  19. That’s a shame. Do you know what the premises will become? I’m quite sure the dry cleaner near the Post Office took the duvets to the launderette on LL/corner of Pellatt Road. One of the women who worked there told me.
  20. I love their onion bhajis and the green sauce supplied with them. The dal is good too. Not tried the dosas yet. Just had a look at their menu which looks very interesting.
  21. I was told that the two local M&S stores donate their bakery items (such as the bread) to the Albrighton. This is instead of yellow stickering them at the end of the day.
  22. This looks like an excellent solution.
