I suppose there different dialects in the Caribbean. I have heard St Lucian Patois which more of a French base to it could not understand it, also heard Grenada and Tobago which is also French based patois as well. Jamaican Patwa is also distinctive to more English based and also German there are quite a few words that have the same meaning in German.
